Forced displacement in the West Bank. @abcnews
The size of Palestinians being forcibly displaced by the Israeli army at gun point and with quadcopters/ drones in the West Bank is insanity. Thousands are being kicked out of their homes. Schools are out, and now instead of providing education services schools are being turned into shelters for the families in the north of the West Bank. Meanwhile armed and deranged Israeli settlers are pushing Palestinians out in the south of the West Bank. Winters in Palestine are piercing, & without shelter families don’t only face the dangers of Israeli ruthlessness but the brunt of the cold. Everyone I speak with asks me the same question “why isn’t this being covered in media? We’re being displaced & killed. Where are the journalists?”

URGENT CALL TO ACTION: OPEN LETTER ON ACADEMIC FREEDOM Academics in Australia and around the world, please sign this open letter to show your solidarity and support academic freedom which is under serious threat. Palestinian Australian academic Dr. Abdel-Fattah is facing calls to be stripped of her grant for speaking at an anti-racist conference sponsored by the First Nations led Carumba Institute at Queensland University of Technology. The academic organiser of the conference, Indigenous academic Professor Chelsea Watego, is also facing concerted attacks and political repression, as is Palestinian academic Tasnim Sammak and Sarah Schwartz of the Jewish Council of Australia for her participation in the conference. The attacks on these courageous scholars is a blatant attempt to silence academic critics of Israel and anti-racist research more broadly.
