Your nervous system isn’t broken—it’s loyal. It learned to protect you when the world wasn’t safe. Now, it’s waiting for you to teach it what safety feels like.

RT @All_Is_Balanced: Survival mode has a cruel trick: it makes you too busy reacting to see that you’re stuck.

The nervous system doesn’t just react randomly - it’s shaped by experiences, especially early in life. ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ 🟢 ➝ If a child grows up in a safe and nurturing environment, their nervous system learns to switch between stress and relaxation smoothly. 🔴 ➝ If a child experiences neglect, unpredictability, or trauma, their nervous system may learn that safety is temporary, and stress is the default state. ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ This means that even in adulthood, a stressful job, a raised voice, or uncertainty can trigger deep survival responses from the past—because the nervous system never learned how to fully relax.

@tomcraske Acceptance is essential, indeed. Without acceptance, healing is not reachable. Very often, acceptance comes with self-compassion

@AKALiHeping Thank you so much for your input! It really means a lot. I've been practicing deep breathing along with some Yin Yoga and gentle, intuitive movements. It's been working great!

Definitely. When your nervous system feels constantly threatened, it doesn't leave much room for complex thinking. Quite obvious when you understand what happens under the surface His work is incredible! I connected so much with what his team discusses. It was eye-opening for me.

@ArielArishina Absolutely :). A lot of us, including me, haven't really learned how to let go. It's something you need practice and patience for.

@MrOldOther1 Yeah, I'm still trying to put it into words, it's more like a gut feeling, something you feel deep down. What do you think?

@thefraggle1975 Exactly, and in a way, the outside world is built to reinforce our survival patterns. Nice 😅. Understanding is key to avoiding pitfalls and avoiding discouragment.

@therichaverma Thanks for the input :) You're spot on! Breathing exercises are a straightforward way to manage our nervous system. Add in some relaxation techniques and natural movements, and you really boost the benefits!!
