Ismaili Pamiri houses usually have 5 pillars, each representing a member of the Ahlul Bayt. In pre-Islamic Zoroastrian times, these pillars used to represent the major Yazatas/Fyzads: Surush, Mehr, Anahita, Zamyod and Ozar.

Why are Pamiri clothes red and white? This is from pre-Islamic Zoroastrian times, now adapted in local Ismaili tradition. ♥️ Red = the sun, blood (the source of life, essence) and fire (first thing created by God) 🤍 White = light and milk (the source of human well-being)

The Tajik men supporting and spreading the slander against me are truly disgusting. A) I don’t come from a Salafi family, I was never an ex-Salafi. I am ISMAILI. B) I never had a Somali ex bf, never had a child. I am just an outspoken Pamiri woman, which threatens these men.

41 killed, 200+ arrested.. To the outside world, this is a number - we are just statistics. To us, these are our families, friends, loved ones. 41 is not just a number, it’s the number of coffins, funerals and funeral lullabies sung for the souls moving onto the next world.

Why should people care about the ethnic cleansing of Pamiris? I’ll tell you all why: 🔺 Being an isolated small minority, a massacre can be devastating, wiping out an entire village. 🔺 Pamiris have been guardians to the roof of the world for as long as history records (1/2)

The repression of #Pamiris in #GBAO , elsewhere in #Tajikistan and outside the country is receiving more international visibility. The scale might not be comparable to other situations of violence globally in numbers, but it’s devastating for the small minority of #Pamiris

Regional hats among Tajiks (9): Mazar-i-Sharif This toqi has been unjustly branded as a “Pashteen hat” or “PTM hat”, appropriated by PTM. It is actually from Mazari Sharif, shared by the Iranic and Turkic ethnicities there. If a Tajik wore this, I would know they’re Mazari.

About the burning hijabs, it is really problematic to label such acts Islamophobic without context. You not only victim-blame those who have lost their lives over forced hijab and under the IRGC, but also reduce the actual victims of Anti-Islam hate crimes by redefining.. (1/4)
