The great Zoroastrian priest Rostam Shahzadi describes the main task of Zoroastrians and also states that ANYONE (who is genuine) can convert to Zoroastrianism.

Purity in both physical and metaphysical forms are inherent in the Zoroastrian religion. For example certain elements are considered pure such as water, fire, the color white for clothing, and the cypress tree. There are bathing rituals such as padyab and nahn which keeps the body clean and pure. Rituals involving dogs such as Bareshnum as dogs are considered spiritually pure. The most important aspect is avoiding and combatting Druj-Parhez, which would be impurities which as both physical and metaphysical. Overall purity is one of the most important concepts in the faith and a key attribute within it.

Sadeh celebrations in Canada. Zoroastrians have been zealous in preserving their traditions across the globe. May our collective communities persevere this upcoming Nowruz (new year).

@huh312688 @Ostokhoni I’m simply a laymen correcting you on my faith, not a “seer” or all knowing at all. I have given you a source from an Iranian Zoroastrian in the 10th century CE to depersonalize this discussion from myself.

No you brought up Eschatology, mythography, and theological concepts like messianism. In order to be less defensive and personal since you seem to think these are my “thoughts” read Shikand-gumanig Vizar by Mardan Farrokh skip to the chapters on Christianity, the pdf is available online. Best of luck Savar Jan.

@huh312688 @Ostokhoni No I understand the “point” I’m principled and am simply correcting you on my faith. If you can’t agree that any influence was superficial at best then you’d be in disagreement with both religious Zoroastrians and religious Abrahamics.

The three Magi were cooked up by Christian’s to legitimize their messiah because the Jews rejected Christ. The Magi were the most respected priesthood for their knowledge. It’s a fake myth for legitimacy not something to have a false sense of pride over. What’s not a myth is the martyrs in KavKaz who gave their lives for their Den against the Christian interlopers.

Yeah. You’re not going to understand. You’re over seeing things that are not there. When corrected by religious Zoroastrians you quadruple down. No use in having further discourse. You can make much more parallels with Shiaism and Shiite symbology and Catholicism than you could Zoroastrianism. This type of pseudo syncreticism has always been a thorn in the Iranian ethos since Mani and Mazdak.

@huh312688 @Ostokhoni Yes I know the trinity of Christ. There’s 0 parallels of anything except for superficial aspects at best. Theres 0 parallels of anything you stated, no offense. Theres enough Shiites trying to corrupt our faith we don’t need anymore added into it.

@huh312688 @Ostokhoni There’s very superficial aspects but there’s 0 parallels don’t corrupt our faith with the God of Abraham. We have plenty of critiques on each faith especially Mehr-Druj.

Western Mithraism is a Proto-Fraternity cult with elements of Persian religion and Greek religion corrupted not to ever be praised by Iranians. Zoroastrianism is not monotheistic correct, and Mehr Yazad is an exalted Yazad in our religion. It had nothing to do with any Christian trinity etc. Ahuramazda, Anahita, Mehr were highly venerated during Artaxerxes reign. They have nothing to do with any abrahamic false parallels.

@Heilbrant @Tabantimes Unfortunately this has been going on for decades subverting our religion. Vigilant Zoroastrians are quite aware but some do fall into the trap. The responsibility is on us outside Iran to keep our Den in tact.

Sadeh celebrations in Yazd, Iran. Zoroastrianism is the true essence of Iranian culture and spirituality. Iranians were always a joyful and optimistic culture. The beauty of our traditions have been preserved by those zealous Zoroastrians who remained and faced hardships but persevered. The Zoroastrians in Yazd, Kerman, and Tehran carry with them the traditions of our forefathers, and one day our original culture and traditions will be inseparable from the state.
