Today is the 10th anniversary of the #APSPeshawar attack—a day that changed my life forever. 💔 I lost my dearest brother Haris, saw my friends brutally killed, I was shot myself. The pain, the agony, the heartbreak of losing your loved ones is unbearable However, in the face of terror, I chose resilience. I chose to fight. Leading global campaigns against extremism, building a school for refugees, becoming Oxford Union President, and inspiring youth worldwide to drive change. A distinct pleasure to be speaking at the @OxfordUnion Alumni Debate alongside distinguished old Oxonians this weekend. It has been an honour serving as the trailblazing first Pakistani President of the Union in over 40 years since Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. The Union has stood as a bastion of free speech for centuries. We debated the monarchy, it’s role, it’s contributions, and it’s importance. An evening of interesting discussion and meeting with old Oxonians!
