Let’s talk about the differences in comms here. Thorpe Park is taking ownership of the situation and the apology comes across far more sincere as a result. This and in the park the attitude from Cedar Point is lacking. Even the signs outside the ride are passive aggressive.

For many of us theme parks are our safe spaces. Our escapes. It’s where our most cherished memories come from. The reason for a lot of last nights reaction from this community was that this show was a direct attack on that.

The Curse at Alton Manor is a spectacular addition to the park. It feels like a classic Tussauds heyday attraction but with modern technology. Easily the best dark ride in the UK.

Here’s a thing. Yes, Attic and Mine Tours have definitely overstayed their welcome in the sense that a major scare event should refresh its lineup quicker. But are they bad? No. They’re still some of the most detailed and atmospheric scare attractions in the country.

Can we talk about how much of a glow up the park has had in this area?. In just a few years the park has gone from mostly using generator towers to permanent atmospheric lighting. Still a way to go but the transformation is huge.

To all @Pleasure_Beach fans, the Grand Prix will not operate this year as we are planning a new attraction. Don’t ask me any more questions about this, I will tell you when I have made the decision. Re the play station or as you all call it the ice blast. That will be operating.

Very exciting to see Alton Towers Resort make steps towards fixing the decades of under investment and questionable leadership choices. And they’re just getting started!.
Plans have now been published for the new attraction proposed for Forbidden Valley. No details of the ride itself are given, but it's stated to be 11.5m in length & 14.5m in width, sitting atop a 4.8m tall building, with an overall height of 18m. We’ll have a full article soon!

Coaster Clubs have never been about getting on a coaster without lines. They’re about friendships, things you can’t otherwise experience, the amazing community, and so much more.
Coaster clubs are obsolete in 2024. Roller coaster events are just nowhere near as fun as they used to be, and you can get the same “ERT” experience by just buying Fast Lane or visiting a park during a weekday. The only exception is if you attend Holiwood Nights every year.
