@TidefallCapital Right. It's hard to paint the dismissal as anything but a positive. New leadership should tackle things like this quickly at $MTCH 😂:
This is exact the R&D waste that I’ve talking about. Here is a new ‘breakthrough' AI feature (in Beta) for Tinder. It ‘uses AI to summarize' the profile... which has the exact same info directly underneath it! $100m in R&D per quarter. What are these $MTCH activists doing?

@investingichina $JD making headlines yesterday with the non-binding take private offer of $DADA makes sense given what we were talking about:

@ChipsandWafers @_fabknowledge_ Your assessment regarding the Chinese patent landscape with respect to patent protections in this space is very outdated and the way you dismiss it is quite frankly very naive:
@BetFakeMarkets @NatbagN @Minnvestor No. 1st, there are many examples of Chinese courts ruling in favor of US and international co's in patent disputes. 2nd there's prime examples of it in adjacent spaces to where $AEHR operates. Qualcom $QCOM has won several and was compensated royalties + licensing deals rev.

$PRM Perimeter Solutions and their Phos-Chek fire retardants again be called upon to help slow another massive fire near Los Angeles 🧐
#HughesFire now mapped 5,400+ acres 0% containment. Tankers trying to hold the south side to Lake Hughes Rd. Fire has reached the lower lake. @FOXLA

@investingichina While Meituan is the gorilla, I recall a couple years ago Dada Now fulfilled 120M orders for singles day and it is typically under 1hr for delivery. For the latest Q3 they did something circa 650M orders, so still enables reasonable order volume:

$DOYU +29% up to $16/share today after declaring an additional dividend of $300M equating to $9.94 per share. Another prime example of China tech rewarding shareholders and proving their cash is real. $KWEB
$DOYU +42% after announcing a $9.76 dividend. Another nail in the coffin for the perpetual fintwit narrative of "THe cAsH isN't ReAL" and "YoU oWn NoThinG" narratives that come with owning a Chinese tech ADR:

@maxvoskr1 What are you referring to when you say "Likee was banned as well"? India? I'm also well aware of their Singaporean status.
As recent investments by Alphabet/Snap into India's ShareChat alluded to, India declares its Chinese app ban is now 'permanent'. Curious to see what path $YY takes (or perhaps...has already started taking?) given Bigo is a Singaporean domiciled entity...

@DeepValue47 @EquityBrian I think this is a reasonable explanation 🤷♂️
@KoyfinCharts @catfancyeditor It's important to point out that there has been tremendous historical alpha in a Chinese tech name like Tencent (0700 HK, $TCEHY) over the past 20 years despite the Chinese governance details:

@maxvoskr1 Right, it was interesting when TikTok got shutdown in other geographies to track the migration of users to Likee:
Impact of Pakistan's recent block of TikTok has led to an immediate increase in downloads of $YY Likee. With respect to app grossing data we are monitoring Likee's battle with KuaiShou's ($1024HK) Snack Video in the region:

RT @XanderXanXan: The worst element of the buyside for me was the isolation. The career is 95% behind the desk in a library-esque atmospher…

@RAMCOCAPITAL @AltayCapital Some buy and hold a China ADR and are right for the right reasons 😉
@ajb_powell @Symmetry_Invest I'm scratching my head at the premise of this thread. Naspers invested $34M in Tencent when it was generating funds only in China. The dividend Naspers receives annually from Tencent is now ~$500M. Tencent now generates offshore rev, but that was not the case when they started.

@investingichina For now... I'd argue the future lies in the autonomous space where the dynamic is different for a few of the players you name:
