Not sure whether there has been a more toxic sports culture than Pakistan cricket.
Whether its administrators, ex players on TV shows or so-called journalist vultures who feed off vicious rumours. The whole system is rotten to the core.
The Super 8 Stage feels lackluster. It should have been knockout matches after the group stage.
The group with Australia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and India has a certain predictability about it.
Also, let's have a WC every four years instead of every two.

Naseem Shah is the best all format bowler in Pakistan. He has a higher ceiling than Shaheen Afridi.
Hopefully he stays fit, and is managed well by the PCB so he gets ample opportunity to play test cricket.
The WTC should stay in England.
London is a cosmopolitan city, and has diverse cricket fans.
Pitches are also suitable for all teams.
Let's be honest, Shah is pushing for India to host it.
Union Sports Minister said "BCCI had decided much earlier that we would not play bilateral matches with Pakistan until they put an end to terrorism, cross-border attacks & infiltration". [ANI]
Shaheen hasn't done the hard yards in first class cricket yet, that's a large part of the problem.
The best test bowlers all have a strong foundation in FC cricket.
Because he has become a all-format bowler, he hasn't had the chance to develop.
Extremely overrated, barely a shadow of the bowler he was 3 years ago - in this instance I’d be more concerned as to why it’s taken him 27 overs to pick up a wicket - personally I’d replace him with Mir Hamza for the next game, a big name isn’t always a guarantee for success.
Gotta feel for the West Indies. That needless run out of Russell costed them at least 20 runs.
Brilliant captaincy by Makram, and again South Africa win a close match.
Having a Pakistani wife, I always enjoy when NZ and Pakistan play against each other.
However, there has become a saturation of white ball matches between the teams.
Usually an unstrength NZ team which only really benefits NZ cricket.
Would love see a test series instead.
In the last two years, Pakistan and New Zealand have played 30 men’s international matches against each other, the most between two teams in the world.
They will play at least 10 more at the start of next year (eight in a bilateral series in New Zealand, one in the Champions
Abbas Afridi has been a real find for Pakistan.
With Husnain, Naseem and ihsanullah coming back from injury, there will be strong competition for WC places.

Would love to see Phillips and Allen in the PSL. Not sure what their NZ commitments will be like in February, am sure both would be sought after.
@Ahmad_BA56
No, but what can be done? Literally India make up 80% of the cricket viewership market.
Pakistan pulling out of tournaments will only hurt them more.
The West Indies team for the T20 WC looks frightening.
Nicky P, Russell, Powell, Rutherford, Hetmeyer, Shephard and possibly Narine.
The batting is stacked with power.
Not qualifying for the Super 8 could be a blessing in disguise for Pakistan. A full reset is required. Scrapping through would only put paper over cracks.
Fakhar Zaman becomes the first Pakistani to hit 10+ sixes in an ODI innings TWICE!
4x – Chris Gayle 🏝️
2x – AB de Villiers 🇿🇦
2x – Martin Guptill 🇳🇿
2x – Rohit Sharma 🇮🇳
2x – Jos Buttler 🏴
2x – FAKHAR ZAMAN 🇵🇰

Several players of England's test squad including Ben Stokes are feeling unwell and will not participate in the concluding practice session at Pindi Cricket Stadium today.

I have massive admiration of attacking style that England have adopted, but the narrative they kept spinning about being the saviours of test cricket is utter nonsense.
@thecricketprof
That's fair. Rizwan imo was the most logical and Afridi could have been groomed. At 23 its a tough job, and even some of the greats have struggled with captaincy.
India beat Pakistan in the Bowl-out "On this day in 2007" in the T20 World Cup 2007.
This marks the beginning of MS Dhoni's Era as a captain in cricket history.

Multan to host first test against New Zealand in December
Karachi to host second test and 3 ODIs against New Zealand
New Zealand will tour Pakistan again in April for ODI and T20 series
One of the reasons I enjoyed the T20 WC in Australia was the matches in general were lower scoring. The pitches had something for pace bowlers.
India vs Pakistan at the MCG was arguably the best T20I ever.
Grounds can’t get any bigger.
Bowlers are trying all sorts.
Are you as fans happy with where the game is or would you prefer bowlers to have some say in these T20 games?
Very keen to hear from you? 👌🏽
If financially feasible, New Zealand would be a great place to host a T20 WC.
The 50 over WC in 2015 was a great success.
Venues:
Eden Park - final
Cake tin -SF
Hagley Oval - SF
Seddon Park
Bay Oval
University Oval
Queenstown

Tbh 2028 T20 World Cup should be held in New Zealand only. They have plenty of stadiums over there so hosting a complete tournament shouldn't be a proper.
Very unfair as Australia already hosted a complete tournament 2 year's ago and will again host it 6 year's later
@CricCrazyJohns
Agree. This Pakistan side lacks the overall brilliance of previous generations. Shan Masood is probably the best choice for captain of all formats , be he isn't a first choice selection.
Anyone who has been following Pakistan for the last 18 months would not be overly shocked by their early exit. Not only have they been in poor form, but also a propensity to get upset by lower ranked teams.
A lot of the narrative today will be around the exit of Pakistan from the

. None of us saw that coming. But an even bigger story is USA qualifying for the next round. It is one of the biggest events in recent times and I hope they can use Afghanistan as a role
Last season, Ravindra was fifth top scorer in the Ford Trophy with 321 runs at an average of 35 from 9 matches.
One year later he is the top scorer at the World Cup with over 500 runs, at an average over 70.
What an incredible WorldCup for Ravindra .

Islamabad are going to be an interesting team to watch in the PSL. Naseem and Imad are great signings. Mike Hesson is also coaching them next season. Exciting times.
Interesting news that Kane Williamson has declined a national contract with NZC. Its great that he wants to continue for the
@BLACKCAPS
Wonder whether he has some opportunities in the pipeline?
IMO strong chance he won't get picked up in next season's IPL.
Ben Duckett has been brilliant thus far, and has been aided by some insipid bowling.
But is it healthy for test cricket to dish up lifeless pitches that aid batters on day one?
#ENGvWI
This pitch is so flat, that if the batsman misses the ball, they should be given out regardless of where it's pitching or whether it will hit the stumps. Only fair right?
#PAKvsEng
Congrats to India. Well deserved winners of the T20 WC.
Hardik Pandya has been clutch with the ball in pressure situations in this WC.
Bumrahs final over had shades of Wasim in 1992, it changed the game.
This was no choke from the Proteas, they faced a all time great.
T20 is a funny game.
Leading up to the WC, Reeza Hendricks had been in sublime form in the format over the last 18 months.
In this WC he can't buy a run.
The fact that Salman played virtually all ODIs leading up to the WC and then dropped, shows the muddled thinking by Pakistan management.
He has looked the best against spin in this match.
#PAKvsENG
NZ gets to debut some emerging players, and Pakistan get some game time. But as a series to interest fans especially in New Zealand, its a pointless series.
For Pakistan playing under strength teams does nothing for their cricket.
Play a test series v Eng, BD or SL instead.
The Series Between New Zealand and Pakistan largely makes no sense from a Financial Perspective or Cricket Perspective.
No Context in Cricket is a Huge Problem that no Board or the ICC seems willing to tackle.
