Azam Khan’s innings today is a consequence of forward thinking management and a decentralized structure that is incentivized to develop players. Prior to this innings we confined Azam Khan to a T20 Destroyer of Leg Spin. He can be so much more than that. (1/3)

If a Spinner can’t give you control he’s useless. If a Spinner has a High ER in Domestic Cricket he’s telling you “I can’t put the ball where I want to.” If a Spinner has a High AVG and SR he’s telling you “I don’t yet understand the art of taking wickets.”

The truth about Quetta is that they acquired talent and didn’t build a Team. That batting lineup doesn’t make sense 1-8. If you select two foreign openers than you can’t have Bangalzai. If you have Iftikhar than Hafeez becomes redundant. If you have Sarfaraz he can’t bat low.
