🚨Since the Dobbs Decision, Overall Abortion Numbers Have Increased Even for States Where Pro-Life Bans Went Into Effect KEY FINDINGS in the latest Babies Unprotected Report: 1⃣Pro-Life laws are not reducing the overall numbers of abortions. 2⃣At least 217,834 women from “ban” states will procure abortions in 2024, an increase of 36,631 from 2019 overall numbers which was before any General Bans or 6-Week Bans went into effect. 3⃣At least 71,100 women inside "ban" states will procure Telehealth Abortions provided under shield laws in 2024. 4⃣Self-Managed Abortions (SMA) remain difficult to count. Based on July-Aug. 2022 data, at least 62,077 Self-Managed Abortions were still occurring per year inside states that had General Bans or 6-Week Bans in effect. It is unclear how much of this market has shifted to Telehealth Abortions. 5⃣New report includes 2024 data in addition to 2022 data reviewed in our previous report. The below response from @KristanHawkins shows the sort of emotional gaslighting that is used to browbeat advocates of abolishing abortion into shame and silence. The commenter here seems to have been making the point that mothers are the ones who are willfully taking their children to Planned Parenthood to be murdered, although we would simply add that Planned Parenthood staffers are most certainly party to that murder as well. But then @KristanHawkins answered by suggesting that the commenter harbors hatred in his heart for the women who are asking Planned Parenthood to murder their children. The sorrowful fact is that Planned Parenthood, abortion pill providers, and similar entities are in business merely because they are filling a demand. Planned Parenthood abortionists do not spend their days capturing pregnant women on the streets and dragging them into the abortion mills against their will. Planned Parenthood abortionists are simply supplying the service of baby murder to mothers and fathers who want to murder their babies. Pro-Life organizations and leaders like @KristanHawkins delay the abolition of abortion when they seek to categorically absolve women of willfully murdering their own children. There are certainly women who are forced into having abortions against their will, but sorrowfully the vast majority are actively choosing to take the lives of their preborn children. @KristanHawkins is therefore wrongly discipling lawmakers who have the power to abolish abortion, and the broader culture as well, into keeping abortion legal for women. Christians must learn to reject the emotional sabotage displayed here by @KristanHawkins. We will not answer to Pro-Life establishment leaders like @KristanHawkins on the Last Day. We will stand before the God who makes our preborn neighbors in His image, and will have to provide an account to Him for how we labored to rescue them from the slaughter.

To be clear, Planned Parenthood murders babies, as do the mothers who take their children to Planned Parenthood to have their babies murdered. @KristanHawkins affirms that Planned Parenthood is party to such murders but denies that the mothers who take their children to Planned Parenthood are as well.

Last week, at the hearing on HB 1373, Jorritsma stood right alongside pro-abortion activists to oppose equal protection for preborn children in North Dakota. He said that since Christ showed mercy to sinners through His perfect sacrifice on the cross, we should show mercy to aborting mothers by giving them total legal immunity to murder their babies.
