I appreciate the president and the council of ministers for their congratulatory message regarding Puntland's efforts against Daacish. However, words alone are not enough—they must take action by standing alongside Puntland. This includes providing the necessary stockpiles of weapons and ammunition, ensuring logistical support, arranging airlifts for the injured, and offering financial assistance for the fight. Without such support, their congratulations amount to little more than empty rhetoric. The fight against Daacish is a national responsibility, not one confined to specific regions.

The administration of President @HassanSMohamud never ceases to astonish me. They compiled a bogus list for the East African Parliament without seeking parliamentary approval and are now grappling with the embarrassment of its rejection, along with the directive emphasizing the need for Parliament's consent. #Somalia

Following the recent cessation of USAID activities by the Trump administration, I have assessed the humanitarian and developmental repercussions of this action on the Somali population and its potential effects on our delicate institutions. Read my article 👇
“If the United States is to maintain its global leadership role and promote stability in key regions, it must prioritize continued support for fragile states like Somalia,” argues @Abdulkullane, a Member of Somalia’s House of the People.

With just 15 months left in President HSM’s term and two other states now outside the influence of the Federal Government, the so-called 1P1V strategy is merely a pretext for an extension. This strategy is not even technically feasible in the current fractured political environment. With time running out and influence weakened, is this really about “the people,” or is it about holding on to power? #Somalia

Credible information suggests that this administration is unlawfully selling public land for personal gain, bypassing the government’s single treasury account. This raises serious concerns about transparency and accountability. Our nation deserves better. Parliament must take immediate action to investigate these allegations thoroughly and hold all responsible parties accountable. Transparency is not negotiable—it is essential. Somalia needs leadership committed to protecting public resources, not exploiting them for personal benefit. Stay vigilant, demand accountability, and make your voice heard! #Somalia

Under President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s leadership, the nation is grappling with deepening political rifts. Rising tensions are placing unprecedented strain on efforts to maintain national unity. Allegations of corruption and nepotism are adding fuel to the fire, fostering widespread distrust and threatening the already fragile framework of governance. As political polarization grows, three states have slipped out of the central government’s sphere of influence. These widening divisions now pose a serious challenge to the nation’s cohesion. With increasing security threats, fractured alliances, and political deadlock, the risk of national disintegration feels more imminent than ever. Immediate and decisive action is crucial to forge a viable path forward.

When a society is already grappling with road blockades and insecurity, severing its sole connection to the outside world is indefensible. The closure of the Dolow airstrip has left the Gedo region isolated, cut off from Mogadishu, neighboring communities, and vital services. The Dolow airstrip is more than just a piece of infrastructure—it’s a lifeline for medical supplies, trade, humanitarian aid, and the bonds that keep families connected. Yet, the @HassanSMohamud administration has chosen to enforce isolation instead of seeking solutions, punishing an entire region for challenges beyond its control. The people of Gedo deserve better. It’s time for the government to stop penalizing the population for systemic failures and take immediate action to reopen the Dolow airstrip. #Somalia

There he is once more! President @HassanSMohamud spends approximately 10 to 12 days abroad each month, while citizens back home grapple with political unrest, economic hardship, and security challenges. This has led us to question whether the president should focus more on tackling urgent domestic issues rather than committing to frequent international travel. #Somalia

The leadership of the HSM administration is faltering, and the cracks are becoming impossible to ignore. Our nation is grappling with escalating threats, and the lack of action is unmistakable. 💔 The reallocation and rearrangement of AUSSOM troops have hit significant hurdles. In the meantime, the nation bears the consequences as: 👉 Al-Shabaab is being given the space to regroup, with efforts to counter them nearly abandoned. ⚠️ Clan militias are being armed, but instead of fostering unity, they are turning against one another, fueling destructive interclan conflicts. Rather than moving toward peace, we are plunging deeper into chaos and violence. Puntland is left to stand alone against Daacish. Without strong national leadership, their struggle is an uphill battle. If they fail, our collective future is at grave risk. #Somalia

In times of change and challenge, consistency in leadership has always been the North Star guiding nations. But what happens when that consistency begins to crack? #Somalia

Our country stands more divided than ever before. Instead of bringing us together, HSM has led us into an era of polarization, breaking apart unity for political power. Tribal divisions run deeper, and the fabric of our nation is being stretched to its limits. Regional governments have been weakened. Citizens are left in limbo, powerless and watching as their rights are taken hostage. Mandates have expired, yet no solutions are being proposed. This chaos has dragged our nation backward, undoing decades of effort. We face a historic low. Our shared purpose must return—before it’s too late. ✅ The time for silence is over. Parliament must fulfill its duty to hold leaders accountable. The nation depends on your action. #Somalia

Did you hear? President HSM just flew across the globe again—this time, not for historic treaties, crisis talks, or game-changing alliances, but just to attend entrepreneurial and ministerial meetings. Yep, apparently no diplomat or cabinet minister was "good" enough for the job. 🙄 One would think trusting your team is part of being a great leader, but nope! Not for President HSM. Instead, his calendar looks more like a travel influencer's feed—meeting delegates, shaking hands, and smiling for the cameras... while tangible benefits for the country are left at baggage claim. ✋👋 👉 Leadership requires trust, delegation, and a focus on results beyond just photo ops. Policies thrive when the right people are empowered! It’s time to ask: Does this constant jet-setting represent us? Or is it a disgrace to the country? Let’s demand leaders who prioritize the nation over their passport stamps. 📢 Drop your thoughts below—how do we hold leaders accountable for their actions? 🗣️💬

Expecting a cat and a mouse to peacefully coexist in the same pocket is nothing more than wishful thinking—it’s a strategy destined to fail. Somalia must establish a foreign policy rooted in transparency, consistency, and purposeful engagement. Temporary tricks and dishonest tactics are incapable of addressing the intricate challenges posed by regional and global dynamics. #Somalia

Corruption has spiraled out of control, undermining the core of our society. We cannot sit idly by as the struggles of internally displaced individuals are dismissed, our nation regresses, and a select few grow rich at the expense of justice. Public land stolen. Resources hoarded by the elite. Countless voices silenced and lives neglected. ❌ Silence is NOT an option. Staying silent makes us complicit. We need leaders with the courage to confront corruption directly. We applaud the presidential candidates who have spoken out against the plundering of public assets. But this fight cannot rest solely on their shoulders. The community must stand up against these blatant acts of land grabbing. 📣 Members of Parliament, this is OUR collective duty! Bring these injustices to light. Fight for fairness. Engage in meaningful debate. Represent the people. Now is the time to put the progress and dignity of our nation above all else. #EndCorruption #AccountabilityMatters #FightForFairness

The unchecked seizure of public land has spiraled out of control. Selling public land, evicting internally displaced people without serving the public good, and failing to deposit the proceeds into the government's central treasury account constitute illegal land grabbing. Illegal land grabbing isn’t just a betrayal—it’s stealing from future generations. ✅ Be vigilant: Stay away from illegally obtained public land. ✅ Speak up: Question shady land dealings you notice. ✅ Demand transparency: Ensure proceeds from land sales serve the common good. The image below of a student returning from school only to find her home demolished by the very leaders meant to protect her will remain a haunting reminder of these injustices.
