Utah being the "Gold Standard" of elections turns out to be @GovCox behind the curtain. Now he's digging to place blame on others.

Maybe if @mikemckellutah @Amelia4Utah & @DeidreHenderson hadn't promoted returning ballots through the mail, these voters wouldn't have been disenfranchised. Postmarked on the 5th. 39 w/o a postmark. Can't count them.

If politicians would promote the use of drop boxes or in person voting over mailing them back, these ballots may have gotten to us on time and could have been counted. Postmarked too late. @mikemckellutah @DeidreHenderson @KSL5TV @Amelia4Utah @gopTODD.Don't blame the voter.

@LindsayOnAir @mikemckellutah @KSL5TV Privacy status only applies to personal identifiable information (PII). How someone returns a ballot is not PII. McKell's actions are raising the cost of running an election. But like you and McKell care about that.

@RCAggie Utah County had six members of the public show up for our post-election audit and I let them pick out half the batches of ballots that we audited. They handled the ballots and worked the computer images to confirm the tabulation. It was a great morning.

@ColbyforUtah All election officials and politicians should be more transparent about the issues with using USPS to return ballots. It is not completely safe and secure. They should be promoting voting in person and using County Election drop boxes as the highly preferred ways.

@realericmoutsos The verification process and provisionals have made the counting process so complicated and long that there's no time to do any analysis on the results before everything by statute has to be locked away, never to be seen again. Maybe that's why it's been made to be so complicated.

@LindsayOnAir @CoryGreen14 @UtahCoElections @LGHendersonUtah @KSL5TV @realDonaldTrump @DonaldJTrumpJr @phil_lyman @BasedMikeLee @ColbyforUtah @GovCox Nice explanation. @LindsayOnAir @UtahCoElections @LGHendersonUtah @KSL5TV Funny how the 4,300 ballots that were delivered to us by the US Postal Service outside of the established chain of custody protocol were not mentioned in the review. @Deseret @BrighamTomco The claim that the legislators mentioned in this article have talked with County clerks is referring to those clerks that have called our current system the gold standard. They have not talked to the clerks that identified the faults in the system before this election.

@BasedMikeLee The USPS is a mail processing entity not a well functioning ballot processing entity operating within strict guidelines and uses no documented chain of custody tracking. Using USPS should be a voter's last resort of returning a ballot to be properly counted.

@KSLcom Election day registration and able to vote that same day either needs to disappear or be completely automated. Processing provisional ballots is the main reason ballots cannot be counted in hours. The second is giving voters time to cure their unverifiable signatures.
