BATO THREATENS TO SLAP CENDAÑA OVER SARA IMPEACHMENT REMARK Sen. Bato Dela Rosa threatened to slap Akbayan Party-list Rep. Perci Cendaña after the latter criticized Vice President Sara Duterte for comparing losing a partner to being impeached. "'Yang mukha mo, sinapak ng 'di natin alam' kaya ngiwi. Lumapit ka nga dito kasi sasapakin kita sa kabilang mukha mo para balanse," Dela Rosa commented in Bisaya on s Facebook post about Cendaña's reaction to Duterte's remarks. Cendaña had earlier dismissed Duterte's statement, emphasizing that impeachment is about public accountability, not personal relationships. "Gusto kong sabihin kay VP Sara, 'Teh, hindi ito usapin ng jowaan. Usapin ito ng public accountability at pananagutan,'" said Cendaña, who endorsed the first impeachment complaint against Duterte, on Friday, February 7. Duterte made the controversial remark during a press conference earlier that day when asked about her message for Valentine's Day. "Alam niyo, mas masakit pa ang maiwanan ng boyfriend o girlfriend kesa ma-impeach ka ng House of Representatives," she said.
