Pakistan is facing poly crises; Governance crises at nucleus....
Foreign aid can be short term recipie to bridge for ex gap but by definition it cannot take people put of poverty unless we improve our governance mechanisms... a threa and analysis worth looking at...
Given Pakistan's constantly burgeoning population, one would expect lower per capita figures when compared to other aid-receiving nations.
However...astonishingly, the numbers soar remarkably higher with a larger share of people affected, equating to millions more in plight.

My heart bleeds for Skp Railway traffic accident at unmanned Railway crossing.
In july 2013, a similar accident took place, all unmanned 101 crossing were fixed but later none took care to continue with it beyond two years.
Cost of inaction is too high.

'they reach office thinking nothing to do today too' yet they are forced to do something....

While I agree with Javed Malik sb yet the quickest way to do this in a better, cheaper and improved learning levels is the PPPs...... state shall pay and pvt sector shall execute & manage .... supply side exists across Pakistan, its only about putting in place the right model.

Just two more aspects, uncontrolled settlements within embankments & Bunds and failure to build more reservoirs.... Governnace failure has aggravated impact of climate change by manifolds
Homes and hearths in one-third of Pakistan have been lost because of rains brought about by climate change. Poorest of the poor are paying for decisions made by richer people elsewhere to have a highly energy-dependent lifestyle, powered by fossil fuels over last century or so.

We regret to announce the sad demise of Mr. Iftikhar Qutab, Advisor Tax Policy and Reforms KPRA. His sudden death is not only a huge loss for KPRA but also for the tax administration in Pakistan. His role in making KPRA a strong institution will always be remembered.

Overall approach on this need a broad based discussion ... there will be several models to be implemented simultaneously... it gives an opportunity to correct some of historical mistakes in certain policy areas.
