The section 20 process started in 2021, no work yet and final bills not until at least 2027 (apparently that's should be seen as advantage!). We were just offered 10% off final bill for delays...

Weighed up the future works and thought 'okay £4.5k won't be too bad in the future'. Couldn't have anticipated a 900% increase! Especially when no work has taken place on the building for over 30 years... Not even a lick of paint!

Building not maintained for decades.Purchased 5 years ago with an estimate at £4.5k for future works!LBN accepted neglect- now backtracking.Section 20 since 2021 and no work started yet.Bills in 2027-cant sell. In financial ruin

@LucieGutfreund We bought 5 years ago with an estimate for future works at £4.6k... we now have an estimate for £43k!!! A 900% increase! @NewhamLondon obviously had no idea of their stock as the building looks the same as it did when we bought!

@LucieGutfreund @LiamSpender @NewhamCouncil We bought 5 years ago with an estimate for future works for about £4.5k... ours is now £43k! A 900% increase!!!! Their excuse... Scope of work has changed .. they obviously had no idea of their stock because 5 years ago the building looked the same as it does now.

@CommonsHCLG @AngelaRayner Please also add in legislation which holds local authority freeholders to account. No maintenance on our building for over 30 years by @NewhamLondon and now they are asking for up to £56k per leaseholder for major works. Only 3 years to pay!! It's such a worry and we can't sell!

@SUBWAY Why change to touchscreen ordering & cover the counter with stickers? My order took 5 mins, not 2, and I couldn't see what was happening. Ended up with unwanted salad & stress. Your USP used to be customizing at the counter. I ordered at the screen as well as telling them

@NewhamLondon @MattLismore @lbbdcouncil This goes beyond attending a surgery. We are 3 years into a section 22 process. LBN saying they will be contributing to the cost due to their neglect but refusing to tell us how much. Leaving Leaseholders worrying about how they will magic up £56k over 3 years.
