This is irrefutably true.
Blacks scoring in the lowest quartile of MCAT/GPA had forty-eight percent higher acceptance rates than whites.

You can't choose both for the same reason you can't be a world-class bodybuilder and run a record marathon time.
Each demands too much of you. To choose both is to do neither well.

But they don't have a tenth of the courage.

Yes, there is a reason it should be intoxicating. The intoxicating properties of wine signify intimacy and romance and communicate to us the warmth of the marital union of Christ and the church.
Watering it down to tart sugar water is a good analogy for the evangelical church.
Progressives love women so so much they will make sure *checks notes* they can be put in the path of actual bullets. Two cheers for feminism and equality!
@ostrachan
"Partial ethnocentrism is not just not the gospel; it is anti-gospel."
The gospel is the good news of the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ. Even if you think partiality to one's own ethnicity is sin how is it anti-gospel? You were a seminary professor.

I wouldn't take it as a compliment that you are so in line with the current zeitgeist that none of your ideas pose any threat whatsoever to the status quo.

Come on Andy, you're a good guy but this is terrible. Its one thing to face persecution if it comes but not a single Christian anywhere is required to raise his kids in a city shoebox with a Pride parade outside because moving would be "aVoiDiNg pErSecUtioN."

Believe it or not, there are actually other things to talk about than just the gospel.
Maybe if we had talked more about family, work, health, vocation, and philosophy instead of the same sermon 52 sundays a year we wouldnāt be in the mess we are in.
Ladies, find you a man who loves you as much as these guys LOVE using a couple verses from 1 Peter to create a whole theology of exile (completely ignoring that the normative telos of Godās covenant people is to inherit the land and subdue their adversaries)

As a Baptist I would rather be persecuted by an overly zealous Presbyterian government and have a Christian nation than whatever we have right now and itās not even really that close.
Not that this is at all even remotely likely to happen to baptists anyway.
The modern baptist mind would rather have rancid secularism than the near-zero chance that the non-baptists, which the baptists significantly outnumber, will toss them into rivers.
It's time people realize that when God's law required the ex3cution of homos3xuals, it was mercy.
Mercy to these children and mercy to witnesses who would be galvanized against homosexual debauchery. But in the name of love and mercy, we are left with neither.

Yeah my great-grandfather is more alive and well than whatever this is trying to do. Shameful you stoop so low.
We have exactly this now in our society. What the Bible offers is so much better. Woman is the glory of man, created not to be relegated to competition for "equal" roles but rather celebrated and cherished in her role as help meet.
@jblairsanders
Faith is the process of turning to Christ, from sin (repentance). Your commitment to and boasting in extended sin suggests you have not turned from your sin and merely integrated your supposed faith into your current paradigm of disobedience.

Joseph Smith of Mormonism did the same thing. An angel supposedly cOmMaNdEd him to take extra teenage wives even though he DiDnT wAnT tO. Most religions started as cover stories for indulgent men. Many such cases!
(1) Muhammad got caught having sex with his slave-girl in his wife Hafsah's bed.
(2) Muhammad swore by Allah that he would stop having sex with her.
(3) Later, Allah told Muhammad, in the Quran (66:1-2), to break that oath.
Nothing suspicious here!
There is no Biblical argument to be made for universal suffrage. None.
Common or natural law arguments can certainly be made but they will be based on the particulars of the situation, not universal principles and no misapplying the concept of imago dei or Gal 3:28 changes it.
Christianity changed history for many reasons, but chiefly among them was its treatment of women. Jesus and the disciples elevated women and their voices. They were named in their accounts, they fellowshipped with them, they were central to their stories.

I'd like to take a moment to remind everyone that McWhirtrer and Mattison found that "all homosexual couples with a relationship lasting longer than 5 years have incorporated some provision for outside sexual activity in their relationships"
"Is your heterosexual marriage as committed as some some gay marriages? Some gay marriages are deeply committed, as out of step with scripture as they are. Your marriage commitment needs to be at least on the same level...to have some sort of credibility."
