I would say try to always start with tawheed, a person with weak tawheed will likely not accept you telling them something is haram. Someone with a strong tawheed is more likely to submit.
Note: I am not saying you did not do that its just my advice. every situation is different

Don't take from Saeed al Kamli, his حال (state) is not clear. We saw many weird things from him, from the mawlid fatwa and sitting in a masjid where they recite shirk poems to collaborating with deviants voluntarily. The salafi's in Saudi and other places don't know this guy.

My country is ran by Sufi's, there's maybe 2 or 3 authentic dar al hadith (upon salafiyyah) as far as I know. I would rather go to the gulf countries or Mauritania.
There is nothing wrong with choosing the rich countries if it makes hijrah easier for you.
