today I learned that my favorite coffee shop in Austin doesn't give tips from the POS to their baristas -- those tips go to the house, while only the cash tips go to baristas
the split is likely 99% of tips via card vs 1% cash, because no one carries cash anymore

Update: the official reason that the review was removed was because it was “retaliatory”
apparently, a 100% factual review is unacceptable, but a host’s fraudulent claim that we stole items from the property, among other things, is totally fine

People have a love/hate relationship with cruises but it’s not a terrible deal

yes,
you’ll need to upload a scrip from a doctor in the states (sometimes it’s trial and error to find one that will just write it) and they order the drugs for you. no need to test as they buy in bulk from manufacturers; the drugs are MUCH cheaper, too.

something i've become quite sensitive to: egos
can sense them within 5-10 seconds of meeting someone. obvious signs relate to attitude or the general vibe, but subtler ones are when the person just talks about themselves the whole time
