𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗 - Finally done
Had a lot of fun making this, a real learning experience
-download books
-generate QR codes for books
-upload books
-read books
-make posts
-review/rate books
Stacks: Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Prisma & Supabase.
Yesterday, a Twitter friend & boss gifted me:
- A MacBook
- An external keyboard
- An external trackpad
Super thankful cause my productivity is about to skyrocket🚀
Documenting this because Tech Twitter has been an incredible blessing to me & brought me so many beautiful souls
I legit can't point 5 backend devs on my TL, but I know countless Frontend and Mobile App devs, UI designers, even a few Data Scientists.
Backend devs on my TL, Kindly show yourselves, I would like to connect with more of you. 😂🤲🏾
@iam_nheeky
😂😭 It will not look exactly like the design. - and they always expect pitch perfect work.
You can make waves on sef but it's never gonna be like that, plus how the thing go be for mobile or small screens sef, chaii. 😂
"Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof..."
Days of writing C++, C#, Java and Python codes on booklets are over. 😂
BSc Computer Science. ✔️
2 years ago, someone gave me this short free course and it was a game changer for me
I've been recommending it to people ever since, found the link somewhere now and thought to share
Immediately helps improve the overall look and appeal of your designs.
A month ago, I was in school struggling to find time and practice React Native and build stuff with it.
Today, I've built 5 mobile apps with it.
Safe to say the election break came in handy. 😊
Saw a tweet 3 days ago where someone claimed to have learnt Fullstack web development in 4 weeks and I've not had a good night sleep ever since.
Some of you should be arrested for what you tweet on here wtf.
Been trying to avoid this since, but :
Why would a Germany company want to pay in naira?
And wtf is this pay? < $130/month?
How are you gonna DM the 1.5k+ replies like this?
I have assumptions, but I will not project. 🫵🏾
Two Frontend Developers Needed
Tech stack: React
Level: entry-level/junior
Compensation: 130K NGN
Company is a startup based in Germany.
- RTs appreciated
- Role is 100% remote (obviously)
- If interested, reply and I'll send you a DM.
In 2023, you might want to get into tech and acquire a tech skill.
I have access to some useful resources and have curated a list of them to help you get started.
NB : All links are working as at when this tweet is made.
So, I found this design on Figma Community, loved it & decided to implement it
But it was just a landing page, I couldn't build just the landing page, so I decided to make it a full e-commerce project
Came up with the design for all the other screens
I'll be dropping updates🖐🏾
Last week, I defended my final year project - an AI Personal Assistant
Built with Python & GUI library Tkinter.
Trained the Intent Recognition model using Naive Bayes Algorithm
It can:
Scour the internet for information
Set reminders
Tell jokes & quotes
Activation word: Jasper
I've built quite a handful of e-commerce web apps over the years.
But this might just be one of my favorites yet, I don't even know why lol.
🎶 Running to you - Simi & Chike.
Knowing when to move on to more serious stuff is paramount in this tech thing; this my guy has been building landing pages for like a year now.
Me: "Man, build something more serious"
He goes off, comes back, with another landing page.
Me: 🤨😩
Many people with less skills than you currently have, and less access to resources and tools are living the life you dream of.
Start where you are with what you've got - it's enough.
So I used to download e-books from PDFDrive
Recently you can't download some books there anymore
Got hundreds, so I'm building this platform where I'll upload all and anyone can download, read or even upload if they have an e-book that's not on the platform to share with others
Started a new side project btw, a kinda complicated one.
Contemplating the stacks to use and also whether to open-source it or go it alone.
API routes or Server Actions
Supabase or MongoDB
Decisions!!!
@DaveyHert
For people to actually willingly pay $50, and not one-time but monthly, the product has got to be real real valuable.
Especially, in a world where people cancel free trial before the subscription kicks in.
Ridiculously funny how many people you never get to hear from again, once you stop reaching out first.
It's fun though - at least you'll get to know who really got you.
My own dislike is how the "CEO" tag/title has become so trivialized.
Everyone is a CEO now, whether all you got is an idea, a website on vercel, or a mobile app that only exist on you and your friends' devices.
CEO is a lot, hate how I see it around people's profile anyhow man.
Yeah yeah yeah, I really like this one, love everything about it.
Just concluded the fashion e-commerce web app - fully functional, explore it:
Favorite feature: product variants selection. 😂
Might just put it up for sale, shoot me an offer. 👀
@kailmarvel
Yeah yeah, I know, you can download as SVG.
But when it gets to the responsiveness part, that background then would not look great when you change the layout for mobile or smaller screens.
So I decided to explore AIs and built this ChatGPT-like AI-Powered chatbot - called 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐬𝐏𝐚𝐥
Many times I desperately want to use ChatGPT and find out the server is down or busy, using the OpenAI GPT-3 API, I built an alternative
Pls check it out -
If there is a package for it, use it.
Stop stressing unnecessarily, you can't write codes for everything.
The goal remains to get the job done - no award for who suffer pass. 🙃
This AI WhatsApp chatbot is my favorite build yet, learning a lot from it
Stacks: Next JS, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Node JS, Express JS & Supabase
Connected to OpenAI - looking to fine-tune it to fit a particular niche 🤔
Need a Whatsapp chatbot or any type of chatbot? HMU 👍🏾
HOW I SOURCE FIGMA COMMUNITY FOR NICE FREE DESIGNS FOR MY SIDE PROJECTS
Pretty simple & basic but I get quite a lot of DMs on this, so below in this thread I give a detailed explanation of what I do and how I do it
Things you need:
-A project idea
-An eye for beautiful designs
Made a Random Quote Generator with JavaScript. 😌
Favourite Quotes from the books :
"Think and Grow Rich" - Napoleon Hill
"Relentless" - Tim S. Grover
"Top" - Zig Zigler
"The 5AM Club" - Robin Sharma
How would you handle cart storage on an e-commerce website?
- store on the user's device?
- store on the server/database so the user can still access it if they log in with a different device?
- or both, then sync when connected?
