Price. Went. Up.

Your girl has been named one of Entrepreneur Magazine’s 100 Women of Impact: Driving Real Change in Business and Culture!
Zora Neale Hurston was buried in an unmarked grave.
Alice Walker (who wrote The Color Purple) was determined to find her and properly give her a marker.
The marker: "A genius of the South."
Black women, protect Black women.
“Cardiovascular diseases kill more than 50,000 Black women annually. Stroke is a leading cause of death among Black women.”
I may be annoying with the self-care/fitness tweets but trust me there’s a reason.
"The effects of environmental stress on Black women are severe. One study found that by the time a Black woman reaches her 50s, the toll of stress on her body has resulted in an additional seven years of biological aging."
We have got to change this.
I don't know who needs to hear this but, get an LLC, EIN, and a business bank account.
You may not think you need it right now but the key is to STAY READY not to GET READY
Some Black women aren’t chasing high positions of power. Some just want a livable wage, safe communities and less stress.
Oh, and hair products that don’t cause cancer.
God told Tabitha Brown to start doing videos and the rest is history.
The point is to trust yourself, clear the noise and do what your heart tells you to do.

Thank you sister. Someone needed to say it.
Like don’t pet me for practicing restraint. I’m so sorry that the young lady experienced that. It’s devastating.
In 2023 I will only occupy spaces that want me there.
I’m not in the business of convincing anyone anymore. I don’t create for the gaze of others because “best practices” show that certain tactics work. I’m here for community and creating impact.
I cried during yoga class when the instructor said go to the place where you feel safe, happy, and secure.
I know why I cried. Black women like myself don’t often have this space. So when I center my mind there I feel joy and a needed release.
I'm sponsoring three Black women for a business and wellness retreat from the Black Women's Business Collective. Room and board included.
Refer yourself or refer someone else.
"Women struggle to balance self-care against filling the needs of their families. But for Black women, juggling those competing needs often comes against a backdrop of intergenerational trauma and suppression of their emotions."
Many Black women are starting businesses to escape the horrors of corporate America.
We don’t talk enough about that and the stress this causes on their financial well being.
I met a Black woman while out of country and she said “I’ve heard of the Black Women’s Business Collective.” I said nah you’re probably thinking of another org
Then she sent me a text weeks later with my Entrepreneur feature & I was like 😳
The moral: believe in yourself more.
I’ve had to resign in the middle of a global pandemic due to a racist nonprofit CEO. I wasn’t supported by anyone in the org. I was bullied by their lawyers and close friends because I have proof.
I stayed silent. I lost income.
This stuff ain’t new. And, allyship is a myth.
Black Women’s Business Collective (BWBC) DC is launching ✨💚
We are hosting two in-person events (one networking & one wellness) next month. Registration coming soon but I’d love to connect with some Black women in the area. So holla at you sis.
You never know who someone knows. Don’t let social media numbers fool you.
I’ll say it again most of the influential people I know have little online presence.
As a woman, finding a supportive community is a series of trial and error.
But, when a woman feels belonging + has a network that backs her she’s unstoppable.
@LeRemedyy
Thankfully I didn’t have to pay for Entrepreneur. They sought out real women of impact and reached out to me after learning about my work.
Key is, do the damn work. The band will follow.
We seriously need to talk about Black women and high functioning depression.
Why do so many people think that we’re ok? A few wins means nothing is the collective suffers.
I had the honor of seeing Fantasia opening night on Broadway for The Color Purple and Danielle Brooks for The Piano Lesson recently and all I’m gonna say is:
We have no idea what we’re about to witness 🏆
I just love a Black woman who shares resources with other Black women because the way some of y’all are set up is just ridiculous.
We can all eat…together. I’m not asking for your business plan sis 🙄
Please stop shaming people for using free tools for their business. Weren’t we all bootstrapping at some point?
If all people have the capacity for is a free website then let them do what they do!
Write yourself a love note. Put it into your wallet. Take it out and read it when needed.
I can't begin to tell you how powerful this practice has been for me when I'm feeling in need of TLC.

Never apologize for taking up space and shining your light. Some of us do it effortlessly and many can’t handle.
I will no longer apologize for the light that shines on me.
I have officially launched the community for Black women. This is a true place of belonging for bw to learn, grow and network. I’d be honored if you join.

Dear Mama on Hulu is a story that needs to be told and celebrates the life of Afeni Shakur. To hear Tupac speak at 17 the way he did is evidence of her intellect and love for Black people.
Watch it.
#BlackWomensStories
In the last three months I’ve taken chances on smaller brands and given them strategy (I know problem
#1
) to only have them steal my ideas that I shared in good faith and not pay a dime because they think they can do it on their own 🙄
Black women, if we don’t tell our stories who will? And if we allow someone else to tell it than we risk misinterpretation.
Keep capturing your moments.
