@2ngg_aprl @etheraider What if all the chains that are abstracted share the same security model/software/etc.?

Contract Composability is the real unlock!!! 🔴 Token transfers dominates the conversation now but we're forward looking @Optimism in providing net-new primitives for developers.

@etheraider Def possible from a product / tech perspective.
Chatted with @Kernel0x about this recently: As a user I want chain abstraction but personally don’t believe it happens soon as economic incentives demand branded blockspace. Longer term competitive pressure from alt scaling solutions will force it

@alexhooketh Makes sense - stablecoins are interesting use case, more to come here though. We interviewed app devs to understand which assets would be most valuable, and the resounding answer was ETH. so its possible for all, just needs to be priortized after the initial upgrade happens!

@alexhooketh Initial ship is focused on ETH and SuperchainERC20s Which tokens are you interested in? There’s a way for immutable tokens to upgrade into SuperchainERC20 but not priortized for the inital release

No ETA yet but it’s OP Labs #1 priority to deliver a secure interop upgrade for the Superchain. Some audits are actually kicking off this week :) As it relates to intent based interop, we worked with Across and Superbridge / Bridgg to enable ETH and USDC transfers among the Superchain over 6 months ago. You can try it out by going to @superbridgeapp

@MaximeServais77 @wagmiAlexander Maxime! Keen to get your feedback if you have time this week!
Interop is coming. Yes that means 1-block latency ETH and SuperchainERC20 transfers between chains in the Superchain but also being able to reference any(!) event across chains in your smart contract. Want an early peek into how this is possible and interested in sharing some feedback? Check out this draft tutorial on how to use the message passing primitive for the protocol and let us know in the GitHub thread how we can improve it:

Tokens never traded on fundamentals, and at the moment there seems to be a dislocation that is repricing everything lower. Whether that's a new permanent state of affairs is anyone's best guess. One thing that is true imho is that the crypto market has an inflation problem with a relatively fixed capital pool stretched between ever more numerous tokens - the pool seems to only meaningfully fluctuate w/ macro. I wish I was smart enough to know what the concrete implications are.
