@Eunique_ny
lol lemme get this straight… Flat earther bails on 3 playoff locker rooms in a row, refuses to get vaxxed during a pandemic, posts an antisemitic video w/ misinfo, refuses to apologize & later plays well for the Mavs in hopes of a payday
But we owe him bc he’s got handles?
a lot of podcast news today
- new NYT audio app
- new podcast magazine
- new podcast investment firm
feels like someone out there still believes in what we do
@trendyhoopstar
No one is saying privledge got anyone in the league.
Coming into this season before A’ja last minute Nike deal the 3 women with signature shoe deals were all white. Would you say the 3 best wnba players are white? That’s where it comes into play
@Wankstablook
This is it. No one seems to get that. Why are people excited about Steph Curry?
Because he fundamentally changed basketball and reimagined what someone could do
Plus, the WNBA is a sport with no dunks & less electrifying physical feats, so a deep three is especially exciting
@jemelehill
To everyone pointing out that she’s rebounding her own misses…
Through her first 18 games she rebounded her own miss 19 times (leads the league). That’s about 1 per game. So even if you discredit those, she’s still grabbing boards.
Rodman comparisons feels a little rushed tho
i'm really enjoying season 2 of white lotus but generally find that these characters are just nowhere near as fun as season one.
Every moment with Armond was electric
Here’s the rub… the plot is a pretty convoluted, the villain is underdeveloped and it doesn’t so much as end as much as it sets up the next installment.
It’s not a perfect movie but it’s so visually spectacular it almost puts all other animated films on notice.
@Rosenbergradio
The fact that you waited to watch episode 7… a 20 minute uninterrupted one shot episode that’s maybe one of the greatest achievements in TV to post this is truly WILD
It makes me question EVERYTHING about your taste
Call me crazy but
Mark Cuban for VP > some random senator we don’t know or care about
He’s the actual TV billionaire we need! Ties to Texas, good at business, not that liberal, very good in a debate, famous, liked by conservatives, etc etc
twitter is now that part of the party where everyone is meandering in the parking lot, clearly aware the party is over but not quite sure where to go next
@CWilliamson44
Why? Seeding as is ensures the best teams are always in and properly seeded
East west is pretty arbitrary. Sometimes the best teams are on the same coast and I’d rather see them matchup in the finals than the second round
WNBA doesn’t need to be the NBA
@ImNotChris06
Mostly it feels like the CC die-hard are pitting her against the league. And are aggrieved that she isn’t being worshiped enough.
I say this as a dude who owns a Clark jersey and loves her game
@jemelehill
i agree with that.
and I also think the "getting her own rebounds to pad her stats" is not a good-faith or accurate argument. but I know you're used to those in your comments
@Passionweiss
Love this. why do you feel “people are more desperate for it than ever?”
Feels like so much creative work is being devalued bc theres so much of it. Millions of podcasts, so many shows & TikTok’s etc, no shortage of it
P.S I make content for a living at a big media company btw
@Rosenbergradio
Heard chef
the oner facilitates the storytelling and intensity of the entire episode. The story and characters all coming to a boiling point that is beautifully matched by the music, filmmaking and acting. This episode is an achievement.
you don’t agree, I’m yelling at clouds
Nailed it. Extremely gross of the NFL, the Browns organization and of course Watson whose had a lot of enablers and protection throughout this process.
"He is still a monster. This is an overwhelming amount of allegations... He should not be playing football."
We react to the latest Deshaun Watson allegation and lawsuit.

Hi. I reported an episode for my travel series that examines Disney World as a cultural artifact. In it, I spoke with Bethanee Bemis, a museum specialist at the Smithsonian whose research looks heavily into a lot of this... not specifically adults tho
@thechasesmith
Right. People enjoy listening to podcasts. There is no technological disruption happening like with network television… we just can’t monetize very well? And listeners expect our product for free which makes us advertiser dependent
@yosoymichael
Usher is largely a nostalgia act. It’s about going to hear the hits we grew up with. Beyoncé is still driving culture and turning out new hits.
@SheaSerrano
Was really close between the 3. Thomas actually got the most 1st place votes.
But Stewy changed the Liberty this season & personally handed A’ja half of the Aces losses.
@icedoutskulhedz
@WNBA
the delusion it takes someone to think the WNBA is out to get its biggest star and money-maker
but when you only see an entire league through the context of one player, I can see how you got here
My top 5 TV shows of the year

Bill Simmons, who sold The Ringer to Spotify in 2020 and has risen through the tech company’s executive ranks, derided Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on his podcast Friday as “f–king grifters”
@Sudharsan_ak
@amplifystr3ngth
lol. That is exactly what it does. it gives her an advantage over everyone who has ever played.
i love CC but ya'll gotta chill on this cult shit
@ImNotChris06
I see it over and over, what feels like complete disdain for the wnba outside of CC. The attitude that the league should just shut up, roll out the red carpet and be grateful and it’s kinda perplexing to me
@NewEnglandLJ
i thought it looked incredible but there's not much plot, very little character development, I don't really know what any of the characters are motivated by or after, the interviewer narrative advice doesn't really pay off or justify itself in a meaningful way, Hardy's accent 😬
@jowrotethis
I can’t tell you if Ashoka is a good show or not, but I can say I was shocked at how cheap the wigs and makeup looked in the opening minutes
@dieworkwear
Goin to Japan next month. Any brands you love for high quality basics /menswear?
A little worried nothing will fit me tho
Love the fashion wisdom btw ✌🏻
I cannot tell you anything about this film… but I can promise you the last 30 minutes will come wildly undone for the sake of hallow shock and ill-considered social commentary
so sorry to be the one to tell you this but his responses have always been like this. There’s no there there. The emperor has no clothes. And so on and so forth.
This Trump supporter says his kids are struggling to pay rent and asks Trump what he’d do to bring down the cost of rent. The response is so unbelievably bad.
@DavidEickholt
Who cares. She won. Why is everything a witch-hunt?
Just celebrate the ROTY and fantastic season. Everyone is looking for something to be upset about.
Fox News is MAD that "woke" Xbox is changing its power saving mode
Earhardt: "Xbox has also announced that they're going woke because of climate change"
Failla: "They're trying to recruit your kids into climate politics at an earlier age"
E: "They're going after the kids"
@HoosierFever
Doesn’t mean she doesn’t experience racism or live in a country where Black women are demeaned.
Classism and racism are close cousins but they are not the same
@Knibbs
Even if it’s a commentary on a plastic vapid lifestyle, it’s still doing so while shilling for a brand that promotes that very lifestyle… it’s fuckin weird man
@Sudharsan_ak
i promise you caitlin and her coaches are talking about her turnovers too.
every great player has stuff to figure out & improve upon early on. this is clearly hers.
it's a simple format really
1. find a messy person who could use a career bump
2. get them drunk
3. give them 3 uninterrupted hours to speak and wait for them to say wild and messy shit
boom. viral. good work everyone
