Pretty cool. As some one who published on mobile storage for disaster preparedness, I find this illustration alone is worthy of a publication as a letter in an IEEE Transactions ;-)
getting a direct hit by #hurricanemilton in Sarasota right now, but our @cybertruck is keeping the power and communication running smoothly as if nothing happened! ๐ช Thanks so much @elonmusk & @Tesla, for making such an incredible vehicle! ๐

After a year of reflection, FT astutely and alarmingly points out in the linked article that the most divisive issue in Israel is the future of hostages. Prompted by the unusually daunting celebration of Rosh Hashanah last week, I came to a realization that the millennia-long wisdom of the Talmud--which has, not by accident, also influenced other Abrahamic teachings--offers a powerful lesson. All I have to say about this issue is: matzil nefesh achat, k'ilu hitzil olam maleh. It is sad that the State of Israel, a country I love so dearly, has come to this day divided over the very issue that could have, and still may, bring an end to this war. It is a disservice to the memory of the murdered and fallen in line of duty, the pain of the wounded, the hardship of the displaced, and, perhaps most importantly, the hope of the captured. The hostages must be brought home, and I stand firmly behind this purely humanitarian demand--nothing more, nothing less. The needless suffering on all sides has gone on far too long, and with no solution in sight, the release of hostages and their return to their loved ones in Israel, the United States, Argentina, Ukraine, Germany, Russia, China, Nepal, Taiwan, and elsewhere is the only imaginable pathway to ending this war. No resolution will truly be just, in the fullest sense of this magnificent, inspirational and comprehensive word, or politically feasible until those in captivity are released. The State of Israel, the only electoral democracy in the Middle East (with all the inevitable imperfections that come with this form of governance), has neither sought nor wanted this war. It can only hope for the day when peace replaces the violence that has torn so many lives apart. The sooner the hostages are released, the sooner Israel and its neighboring states can turn their focus and limited resources toward building a secure and prosperous future for their people. The damage of October 7 and the war that followed cannot be undone, and the pain will never fully disappear. However, sustained peace can not only ease the suffering of those who remain but also help create a future free of such pain for generations to come. To achieve this future, the Israeli people--now more divided than ever--must come together in unity. The immediate release of the hostages, by all means necessary, including what the current government considers 'unthinkable sacrifices,' should be our shared, urgent priority--transcending political differences. If the hostages are freed, it will be a victory not only for Israel but for the entire Middle East and the world and devastating blow to those who seek to keep this region embroiled in conflict. #BringThemHome
