I request to discuss the matter at a later date. At least that’s how I’ve always done mine. They’d follow up, but then at that point I wouldn’t respond. Once a certain time frame has passed then they no longer look for you. At least from my past experiences.

Nah I’m not, but I learned to start asking for separate bills regardless of the amount. People will look funny when the bill come out as if they didn’t eat. I always find myself paying for everyone which I don’t like. So, it depends on the friend.
