Trying to resist dunking on NIMBY Tory MPs but this is the same Nick Timothy whose approach to inclusive decision making when he was Cheif of Staff to Theresa May was to grab junior officials and practically yell “You just don’t understand hierarchy!”
I used my first question in Parliament to ask Ed Miliband about the process for approving the giant solar and battery farm, Sunnica. It’s clear from his answer he hasn’t visited the site and he didn’t properly consider all the evidence.

Really good mini-thread on what there is to agree with, and disagree with, in the Foundations essay everyone is talking about
Lots to agree with in here. Three thoughts from me.
1) The central fact about the UK's economic geography is the non-London big cities underperform. Focusing on London as expensive misses some of the biggest problems the UK has with agglomeration, urban outcomes, and planning.
