It’s very very hard to exist in a country that refuses true diversity, and it’s very systemic too.
Anyone that lives their lives differently than that restrictive box will eventually have their rights taken away (or never have it in the first place) and oppressed.
Discourse on TwitJodoh and conversion laws make me realise that if Malaysia is more open to interracial marriages between Muslims and Non Muslims, incel Muslims will be in shambles because Muslim women will have more choices and that will make them super salty and sad and angry.

Been using Wise for more than 6 months while abroad. Kalau tukar duit ke matawang asing dulu, lepas tu withdraw matawang local (where u r) tak kena cas for the first 2 withdrawal. Here is a better and detailed explanation

People can transfer money to you like we would normally do bank transfers. However, when you want to transfer money (even in the same currency) there will be a Wise charge. It’s RM1.06 in Malaysia and 0.28€ in Europe.

Two things can be true. Malaysia can be an apartheid state for the policies they hold for non-muslims AND oppressive in the ways the police Muslims.
I have mixed feelings about calling Malaysia an apartheid state.
We have strong segregationist policies (ie dual court system, racial quotas etc), but our most powerful instruments of repression (JAKIM etc) aren't aimed at racial minorities.
They're aimed at "Muslims".

There was a documentary by R.AGE on this many years back which infuriated me because it’s basically trafficking. Spoiler alert: bribery is the culprit.
Received a plea for urgent help from a group of 71 stranded 🇧🇩 workers. Each paid RM20k in recruitment fees only 2 find out they x have a job here. At this time thet r crammed into a small living space x food, water, & toilet facilities. How did this get past the ministry?

Great thing about Wise is I could change my phone number later (Malaysian to Portuguese number) but I couldn’t with Bigpay. So for that period of time, I couldn’t do online transactions without roaming (to get the code on the phone to approve transaction)

TouchNGo, Grab and KTMB are companies that know very well we “need” them so they have no incentive to make their services better for us.
I cannot express enough my hatred towards them.
TouchNGo is one company that will and should die quickly if we have another channel to make automatic toll payments at all toll booths and rail and bus rides without going through them.

This is a completely reasonable thing to ask for, it’s not entitlement. Life is more than work. Personal life matters and having boundaries is okay.
If I have asked to wrap things up by 6:30pm, I would have just leave at said time even if the meeting is not done.
I hate to be THAT Muslim but please don’t schedule meetings starting at 4:00pm that end at 6:45pm when I’ve mentioned I hope we can end before 6:30pm to give me enough time to pray. I prefer not to miss my prayers and not have anxiety before buka. 😩
