Generally that is correct. The Spetsnaz brigades, though, are significantly more self-reliant than the ordinary rank and file. The 14th, especially, has been one of the very few consistently effective RU units throughout the war. This is easily a top-10 most valuable kill so far.

Col. Gen. Teplinsky (below) has replaced Gerasimov as overall commander of Russian forces in Ukraine. He’s probably the single most capable General they have, so this is not great news. Thankfully, I think they’ve passed the point of no return with their combat capabilities.

Haha I talked about that exact feeling I’m seeing earlier today. What we are seeing right now is nothing at all to worry about. UA is playing things perfectly, and when all the NATO goodies come online they’ll pretty easily take back everything they’ve given up this past week.
I see a lot of people worrying about the small advances Russia is making in eastern Ukraine. They shouldn’t be. Ukraine is trading territory for time, and inflicting terrible losses while doing so. They know a shit ton of heavy weapons are on the way. All they need to do is stall

Possibly top 5 - commanding the 14th makes him more valuable than some generals like Simonov, Botashev (retired so not an active general), Mityaev (regarded as a thug, and he died a stupid death assailing a fortress) and arguably Kolesnikov (commanding a token army).

Air Force One isn't a plane, it's a callsign. Any plane in the world that has the POTUS onboard is automatically designated Air Force One. Air Force Two is the callsign automatically given to any plane carrying the VPOTUS. POTUS can't take AF2, because it immediately becomes AF1.

Excellent tactics by the UA soldiers as well. The fire support team jumps off the front of the BMP (parked facing away from the RU forces), while the assault team jumps off the back and doesn't even pause before charging in. Speed and aggression vs demoralized troops. Amazing.
