It's been 2 years, and it's not getting easier, but we thank God. RIP Dad. 🙏🏽 😞 😢 💔 . God, the Creator and Redeemer of all the faithful, grant to the souls of Your departed servants the remission of all their sins, that through our prayers, they may obtain the pardon that they have always desired. Grant this, O God, who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.

As we wrap up our Annual Reading, Comprehension, and Debate Competition: Secondary School Edition, we want to express our deepest gratitude to all participants, schools, judges, sponsors and attendees who made the event a success. The books featured in this year’s Reading and Comprehension segment were nothing short of inspiring: - Dear Ijeawele, A Feminist Manifesto in Fifteen Suggestions by @ChimamandaReal - The Girl with the Louding Voice by @abidare_author - I Am Malala: How One Girl Stood Up for Education and Changed the World by @Malala & Patricia McCormick - African Girl, African Woman: How Agile, Empowered, and Tech-Savvy Females Will Transform the Continent...for Good by Hynd Bouhia For the Debate Segment, we dove into the powerful themes of We Should All Be Feminists by @ChimamandaReal These books sparked meaningful conversations, critical thinking, and left the audience in awe of the students’ brilliance. We encourage you to explore these incredible works, so you too can experience the same magic and insight they brought to this unforgettable event. Let’s keep celebrating the power of reading and learning! #wereadtochangelives #literacychampions #sdg4 #debate

In 1964, a vision for #education began at Tower Hill Kindergarten and Primary School. At the peak of the rainy season this year, we launched a series of events and interventions to mark the school's 60th anniversary. Today, we celebrate not just its #legacy but its continued impact on shaping lives and futures. Nearly three decades ago, I had the honour of serving as Head Girl of this incredible institution. This year, life comes full circle as my eldest daughter takes on the role of Deputy Head Girl. It is a moment of pride, gratitude, and reflection for me and my family. Tower Hill is more than just a school; it is a testament to the importance of building and sustaining strong #institutions that nurture young minds, instil core values, and inspire leadership for generations to come. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the #school for laying the #foundation of my own learning journey and for continuing to groom future #leaders. Here’s to the #educators, past and present, whose dedication has made this milestone possible. May THKPS continue to #inspire excellence, #build character, and #contribute to the #growth of our nation for many more decades to come! Hasten Slowly!!! That's our motto and our rule! #SDG4

The Startup World Cup presents an extraordinary opportunity for startups across West Africa. The benefits of pitching at the Startup World Cup Regional Semi-Finals in Sierra Leone go beyond the opportunity to compete for USD 1M in Silicon Valley. Imagine pitching in front of global investors with checkbooks ready to invest. With some of Africa's most active investors and Europe and North America's most successful ones being in the room, the sky is the limit. The Sierra Leonean ecosystem particularly has a lot to gain, and while it is my hope that entrepreneurs in Sierra Leone seize this opportunity, I am also pleased that it presents a unique opportunity for some of the brightest entrepreneurs from across West Africa to come to experience Sierra Leone and its people while putting their best foot forward to compete for the global spot. Here are some nicely put together FAQ by @feleitechcity to help you make your decision to apply sooner than later. P.S deadline is 20th December. It will be sad if you wait until this opportunity pass you by. Apply:
