Great news to see some restoration at last, after calls from .@TheBMA and many others. A long way to go but its a start and could help to begin resolving the severe pay erosion and disparities for public health consultants in local authorities, and the related vacancies.
We're giving nearly £200 million extra to local public health services to offer support including: 🚭 stop smoking schemes 👩⚕️ family and school nurses 🏥 sexual health clinics Part of over £3.85 billion funding to help shift from sickness to prevention.

Llongyfarchiadau to doctors in CTM, this is a great example of local action and a win on a really important issue we see a lot, employers trying to force unpaid breaks. We're winning nationally and winning locally, on the issues that matter to members.

Exception reporting is vital for patient safety and staff well-being, it was a crucial part of the previous pay deal. UK government needs to deliver the deal in full, otherwise we’ll be back on pickets. Public health registrars in 🏴, its crucial you update your BMA details!
We have entered dispute with the Government over exception reporting reform delays for doctors in England. Watch the update to members from your RDC co-chairs @Melissa_S_Ryan @RossNieuwoudt

An important motion after a long debate, though nuance needed. We need to get back towards the sustainable situation we had when the RLMT was in place (still there for public health). We also need more training/LED posts, support for SAS careers and combating IMG exploitation.
Competition ratios are terrible. Your UKRDC passed the following policy: "This committee resolves to prioritise lobbying for a method of UK graduate prioritisation for speciality training applications and on the issue of training bottlenecks during this session." (1/2)
