@JJitsev @KordingLab We invented this task to satisfy many constraints: feasible in monkeys, partial observability, continuous control, naturalistic, relevant for collaborator-recorded brain areas. Monkeys learn it quickly. My kids catch fireflies outside. But we can't do everything!

Big news, I just accepted an offer to join Baylor College of Medicine's Dept of Neuroscience as an asst professor! I start Fall 2024, and I'm looking for phd students, postdocs, and research scientists to join me studying learning in neural populations.

7/7 As far as we know, this is the first high-bandwidth neuromotor interface that utilizes biosignals with effective out-of-the-box generalization across individuals. This achievement, led by Patrick Kaifosh and @TRReardon, is the result of the scientific and engineering efforts of hundreds of people and has been documented in a scientific journal preprint (link below).
