Watch now:
Oh, and wait until you see the Mulberry Harbour shot in the Arromanches episode. A hazardous 1.85km drone flight out to sea against the wind, but the result footage is very much worth it, and as
@almurray
goes on to say ‘she made it home old boy’.
We’re all incredibly saddened by this news. A life dedicated to keeping these war birds flying. Amazing kindness, warmth and intellect. We had the pleasure of filming with Richard earlier this year for a future episode. Our love and thoughts to his friends and family.
Am utterly devastated that the brilliant, wonderful Richard Grace has lost his battle against cancer. One of the world’s most lovely people, a superb pilot & all round heritage hero. All thoughts with Daisy, his young kids & all his colleagues. So, so sad.

We were away from that kind of support in France, which meant that James and our Producer Mike rolled up their sleeves (with telephone support) to sort the issue themselves.

No Joey on this one as it’s not a Goalhanger production (but we’re all good friends). And we can say that both James and Al managed to complete their chairs completely by themselves.

Yes. You have to have EASA Certification for drone owning and operating and be fully insured for Public Liability for Europe.
@Niels_1944
@almurray
@James1940
@WeHaveWaysPod
Most of the countries are covered by having an EASA licence. Some are more regulated than others in terms of local permissions. Normandy was quite relaxed as our drone is sub 250g it was allowed to be flown in most areas without additional permissions.

There are three more Normandy videos to come, so they’ll over lap for a couple of weeks, but released on different days.

Thanks Karl. We were mixing for people wearing headphones to make them feel part of the conversation, but actually, it suits absolutely everyone better to just mix for normal stereo. Will be how we do it from now on.

Yes indeed! There are 3 more Normandy episodes, but there will be a break from France as we start to introduce the first few episodes of our Operation Market Garden episodes in time for the 80th at Anrhem.
