Day 24 of Advent Calendar. Our final door belongs to this beautiful Nottingham alabaster which dates from around 1470, during the reign of Edward IV and is not normally on display. Pieces like this are very rare because most were destroyed during The Reformation.

For the first time since 2010, four peregrine chicks have hatched at the Cathedral!
Earlier in the year, a mated pair of peregrines nested, producing four eggs successfully in a nestbox built by the Works Yard team.
