A prayer for #RacialJusticeSunday. Merciful God, you are righteous and love justice: stir the hearts of your people that, rejoicing in our diversity, we may repent of the wrongs of the past, and, by your grace, seek the peaceable kingdom of your Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ.

As we seek to transform our communities, pray that our eyes might be opened to issues that are particularly affecting our locality such as poverty, dementia or a lack of facilities for young people.

Lord we pray for the Diocese Safeguarding team: Hilary Higton, Delia Stokes, Claire Arden, Liz Toone, Simon Hill. Bless them in all the work they do to support people across the Diocese.

Pray for HMP Hewell, for the Governor and all staff, for their safety and well-being. Pray for the men who live and work here, for their anxiety, depression and fear and that through the compassion and care of those around them, that they may feel valued and cared for.

In the Diocese of Peru, pray for the congregations of the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd in Lima, and for those ministering there, amidst the continuing challenges they face.

In the Bromsgrove Team Ministry, pray for the churchwardens and officers who are looking after those churches currently in vacancy - Dodford Church, Catshill Church, All Saints’ Church in Bromsgrove, St Godwald’s Church in Finstall and the Wychebrook Group of three churches.

Pray for those who support the Team ministry in Bromsgrove: David Coulson (PCC Secretary), Sarah Marshall (PCC Treasurer) and our part time administrators Lauren & Irene. Please pray that God will call and release the right people to fill the vacancies that we have in the parish.

An exciting partnership between the dioceses of Gloucester, Hereford & Worcester will boost the region’s push for Net Zero. 3 project managers, Lee, Erica & Ian, will help cut emissions from clergy homes, churches & schools. Please pray for them & all tackling the climate crisis.
