3 combines rolling, another showing up today and number 5 maybe tomorrow... Lots of oats, wheat, barley and peas are very close to go. Swathers will need to be cutting canola in about a week too. It's about to get bizzeh.

We don't stop for supper often during harvest, we did for this farm Thanksgiving meal. It was supposed to be a field meal but we decided to make it easier on those preparing it by coming to them. So much to be thankful for.

Here we were wrapping up some of the last straight cut canola about a week ago. We’re almost done all post harvest spraying and now it’s just a bunch of flax to do before calling harvest complete. It’s been hard to wait to get going on flax but hey, it’s still September.

Well I finally got stuck. Turns out if you miss mapping a old bush pit it'll just power out.
People ask what you do if you get stuck. I had a tractor close by so I just drove over, got the tractor and it's a one person job to get yourself out. I ran both tractor and remote

We finally got a crew photo altogether this year. I always intend to, but the chance always passes by, and we get too busy. There are lots of new faces and a few couldn't make it. We're pretty excited for 2023 with this group!

Every Sunday evening during harvest we shut down and go home. I was going to do some yard work but I changed my plans and instead I got my youngest two kids riding their bikes for the first time. What a great decision!

If you remember me posting this heated canola fun we had. As much work it was too try to keep the non heated stuff seperate, it was worth it. So far loads going in are testing 0%,0%,1.4%,1.6%,0% if you can believe it. That's a relief.
