what's awful is that sex education for children IS important. Children need the language to communicate if they're being taken advantage of. Sex education is necessary for safety and betterment. The issue is that its been fear driven, even into high school.

I stand by the fact that if the mech scenes were done either with better CGI, or practical effects, instead of whatever the hell it was they did, the movie would hold up extremely well. The cinematography and the script were fucking killer.

they're not killing the daughters to make their story more compelling? remember tropes aren't ALWAYS BAD. Even "fridging" was effective story telling at one point, but its a problem, because dying seemed to be the only role female characters/heroes seemed to be used for.
