I thinkkk (besides the general art differences) the low fidelity snow looks better because they were working with less, so added more in terms of the textures perhaps? Like, theres more of a kinda gray color palette mixed in, you can see it especially with the roadway here, where as so often in higher fidelity graphics theyll just make everything kinda a uniform white like its a giant sheet and unrealistic. Ofc it depends as well, I think fresh fallen snow should look more of that “pristine” white where snow thats been there for a while had more of a slightly dirty look. Idk

Its all just retards tbh. The historical Hans was a teen when the game takes place, but the character is very clearly not a teen. Hes like mid 20s. Its a witch hunt on a game they think is woke so they are cherry picking and misrepresenting it as much as they possibly can. Also, since there is likely a great deal of crossover between the fan bases, read the A Song of Ice and Fire books (Game of Thrones), most of the characters are about 5 or more years younger than their TV counterparts (aka, minors). No one’s pissing their pants and freaking out about that though, or has said anything in the decades those books have existed. (not to the degree KCD2 is getting it, anyways.)
