GREYHOUND RACING 🤬🤬🤬🤬 As part of Budget 2025, the Government agreed to increase funding for horse and greyhound racing by €4.1m. The move will bring total state funding for greyhound racing to €19.8 million annually. Last year MLHR received “€54,063” from the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine…that covers one bill out of many huge bills! Saving animals just doesn’t seem to matter to our government but if saving animals made them millions that would be a whole other kettle of of fish!!!! GAMBLING IS A HUGE SOURCE OF IRISH FUNDING…so maybe we start putting bets on 🤬 “if the dog makes it”. “If the horse will ever be ridden”, “if the poor kittens will ever be found and how many”, “will we be able to save the pig from hypothermia” BETS ON 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 Last week, junior minister in the Department of Sport, Thomas Byrne, said greyhound racing is an industry “not a sport”. Speaking ahead of the Dáil debate today, People Before Profit TD Paul Murphy said this comment was “bizarre”. ITS TIME AS A NATION WE SAY NO!!! Ask your TD’s wgat is their plans for animal welfare?
