It being a day that celebrates the feminine, we applaud our many partner organisations who work to empower women. One of them is Women's Academy for Leadership and Political Excellence @WalpeAcademy in Zimbabwe. It was set up in 2018, after it became clear that women were not fully represented in the elections. Getting more women to get into politics and to run for the next election is WALPE’s goal. It works to give women the skills to take up leadership positions at all levels.
