@halmich14 I think the problem is the word carrying. I don’t think black aesthetic is carrying anime however that has been some influence. I think anime is adapting more of western culture like our memes and such.

@halmich14 To me carrying means something a lot deeper. For something to carry that means that it’s the only reason why something is afloat. I don’t believe the black aesthetic is keeping anime afloat but I do start to see the influence.
