Am I the only one frustrated by newspapers' "online" policy? They promote all their stories, but only let you read 5 and then you need to pay. I know they need the money, but c'mon. I only want to read it during prep basketball season. Fortunately, Whatcom Hoops is free. :)

Learned a big lesson after last night's big Lynden-LC game. In these days of Twitter and TV, it's better to get a short story out fast (before everyone goes to sleep) than to go through 500 photos and finally finish at 3 a.m. Good to know before district and state playoffs.

@SBLiveWA Sorry, but you missed Washington state's best boys rivalry: Lynden-Lynden Christian. Small town, big gym, 20 state championships between them including both winning state titles in '22 and '23. Nothing better.

To all my media friends who might be Zooming with the WIAA tonight: Can someone please ask the WIAA what they now expect the basketball season to look like? Most of the talk will be about the fall, but I'm sure it'll affect the winter sports. Thank you.
