i’ve successfully attended all 4 of my classes so far and unfortunately, only my meteorology class had more then 25% wearing masks. Have to give a shout-out to the school of meteorology though for consistently caring about science and safety while at school!

Finished the story tonight with some of my best friends in the world. It's been an amazing 4 years and I'm excited for our chapters ahead but bittersweet knowing our time left with all of us here in Norman is so short.

I made a pretty big mistake today.
While I never said there was a confirmed tornado on the ground, I posted a since deleted tweet of a potential tornado on the ground with a video that was clearly not a tornado. It wasn’t my intention to hype it up but I worded it that way.

Apparently, OU forgot how stressful the last 2 years have been with online classes. I’m disappointed that instead of giving essential workers, teachers, and students a day off, they are forcing us to do more online classes. All other schools have cancelled classes, why can’t OU?

my mask is staying on until 70% of our population is vaccinated.
right now we are at less than half (~45%), so the mask stays on for me!

Not only is this second PDS tornado warning for Ardmore insanely awful, it's heading for Sulphur which has already taken a direct hit by a strong tornado, especially given power issues and the potential for compromised shelters.

A great way to visualize the dry air shown in the sounding is by looking at KTLX vs KFDR precipitation depiction. Lower beam heights at KTLX show that no precipitation is making it to lower levels until the red river, but KFDR shows precip is falling in upper levels more north!

As of today, we are currently on a streak of Day 1 slight risks dating back to April 25th, and if tomorrow stays slight, will be 60 days straight. Slight risk streaks are interesting and I thought I would share some research I have done into them.

Models are clearly underestimating the cold we have available. 12z HRRR initialized with Norman/OKC lows around 27 for right now—it’s currently 23, and lows were off by 4-6 degrees the entire night. If this happens tomorrow, we’re looking at 6+ inches of snow no question.
