japanese comments on vocaloid songs are funny as hell sometimes i just saw someone saying "just found out this song is called Fragile (フラジール) i've been calling it Brazil (ブラジール) this whole time"
its interesting seeing the influence of other fandoms on the vocal synth fanbase. people were never so openly h*rny for voicebanks before gensh*n made it trendy to shamelessly talk abt deranged character fantasies on main
sometimes i forget the fact that "Miku that is a serial killer who produces deadly chemical weapons in an underground drug lab" is a canon Sekai variation of Miku in Proseka that has actually been explicitly acknowledged in the game
vocaloid song titles be like

KAITO literally just shows up in this one guy's dreams and tells him to search "vocaloid" on youtube lmfao like he doesnt even meet him irl he literally just projects a sponsored ad directly into his brain
KAI/MEI new Fes cards in prsk
MEIKO finds a struggling author's sekai and meets a nameless oc, a main character to an unfinished storyline, who fears "getting discarded" like the rest
KAITO meets an injured athlete who worries about not being able to play with his team anymore

According to Spotify, Siinamota is one of the most listened to Vocaloid producers right now; up eith the likes of Deco*27, (1.6M) Kikuo, (1.5M) and Kanaria—the most listened to as of right now I believe. (2.7M)
That’s genuinely fucking awesome. He’d be so happy to see that.
There are 8 introduced Sekai variations of Miku introduced so far
- Original Miku
- 5 Miku's of the main sekais we usually see
- Margarita Blankenheim of the "Sekai of the Evil Deadly Sins" from the limited Evillious collab
- Miku of the abandoned sekai from the 2nd anni event
crazy how the comments on this post developed such a parasocial relationship to these characters that they feel personally threatened by just...new characters *possibly* existing???¿
i wonder if people in the qrts know that most modern vocal synth has literally been using AI, and theres nothing wrong with calling it that
"AI" has been turned into such a buzzword that people only seem to associate it with the plagiaristic "AI art" shit 😭
a yearly vocaloid fandom tradition i noticed is people remembering/discovering that Dancing Samurai and Bacterial Contamination are by the same producer and losing their shit every time
Miku x Pokemon collab where 18 vocaloid producers will release Pokemon-themed Vocaloid songs that will use samples of the Pokemon OST and Sound Effects
suddenly remembered the experimental Ichika Hoshino AI vocaloid that Yamaha made for the Proseka-themed piano
what if they're actually turning the cast of Proseka into V6 voicebanks eventually
A lot of people are confused by the announcement of the 2nd novel with the new characters, so for some context, heres a thread on the 1st Milgram novel and what happened there
Firstly, there was also a completely new set of prisoners in the first novel as well:
in ireland: students had to write vocaloid fanfic about meeting Hatsune Miku so they can get into college
in japan: a VFlower song has been
#1
on music charts for 2 weeks straight
Vocaloid's really reaching the wildest places now
Serebii Update: The next Pokémon feat. Hatsune Miku: Project Voltage artwork has been released.
"What if Hatsune Miku was a Ghost-type Trainer" by take
@goodnightshus
yeah he literally just enters his dreams, sings a song, and goes "have you heard of virtual singers? you should look into them for some music that helps ease your anxiety my name is spelled KAITO go google it if u want" and he wakes up like what the hell was that
today, October 3, some vocaloid artists are posting art of both MEIKO and Miku as its the midpoint between both of their birthdays! (August 31 and November 5)
@kzzrttt
reminded me of a deco interview where he said that he sometimes looks at his lyrics and goes like "what the fuck miku wouldnt say this" and has to remind himself that shes a software
Flower's new design for Cevio AI just got revealed
the artist is Oguchi, known for his work as a designer for the Caligula Effect series and the visual for Racing Miku 2014
Vocaloid songs that reached 1 million views on Niconico in the same year that they came out in!
in 2021, 11 new songs reached the milestone so far, the same number as 2012 and 2013.
also, the new song "Lower" is also currently fastly approaching 1 million views
the point of the Piapro website is for artists and producers to provide collaboration to each other and being an accessible source of original art made by the community itself for works like vocaloid music PVs and such.
flooding the site with AI images defeats this purpose
why are Google's responses to certain Vocaloid questions so misleading do you know how many people i met who were so absolutely convinced that "Crypton has discontinued Vocaloid/Miku" because of how bad the wording in Google search results is
oohh apparently its possible to get V6 without the defaults but with a single voicebank of choice, making it much cheaper
around $90 for the editor + $90 for a voicebank just like v3/v4
