The worst polio outbreak in US history was in 1952. There were 58,000 cases and 4,000 deaths. It spurred a unified public and government national response. Today, with almost 1,600,000 cases and 100,000 deaths, there are people telling us COVID-19 is no big deal.

According to MAGA, 700,000 semis (about a fourth of the total in the US) are heading to the Texas border. So 700,000 truckers just up and left their jobs and families and stole their companies' trucks to go to the border? I'm calling bullshit.

@nytopinion @jorgeramosnews The biggest gripe I've had with journalism during the Trump regime is their inability to see Trump as pathological. Trump would say something off-the-wall batshit crazy, and the pundits would go to their panels and act if they were analyzing some subtle nuance of tax policy.
