Call me crazy, but I think this should be a bigger political issue. Santa Monica is a mixed bag, and there is decent lighting in some public spaces. But sadly the trend seems toward blue light hell

@AuronMacintyre I think this is somewhat common with local police. It would be bad to disincentivize calling the police for fear of being deported, sort of similar to Ferguson effect longterm.
