he looks at yongbok with a kind of soft content face doesn’t he. kind of like he’s saying “there you are… you’re okay.” and after all of that minho is okay too
i think that’s also why it was yongbok who had bruises on his face at the end of the film. minho was finally strong enough again to leave his broken self behind. he had found friends and had become an actor. he didn’t need yongbok to hold his hand through it anymore
my main theory is that the underlying theme of skzflix is about parental abuse, or surviving an abusive house hold. right at the beginning before the film starts, you can hear arguing between a man and a woman. we hear a barking dog, maybe a family dog, and something shatter…
in order to move past it, in order to function and work with people again, he created this alter ego. someone friendly, bright, and extroverted. someone that he could hold on to while he tried to over come whatever he was going through at home…
yongbok then asks why minho didn’t show up to school that day, his eyes flicking over minhos bruises as he eats. i think that line kinda of alludes to the idea that child abuse or hostile living situations are dealt with more than we like to think.
then the first scene opens on a shot of minho, his face bruised but the rest of his body seemingly okay. that’s what makes me think it’s not a car accident or smth like that (i’ve seen other theories along those lines)…
this clip is tiny but the rush of emotions on minhos face when he realizes that han was thinking of him while singing want so bad over and over is just so… obvious
it could be happening to a friend or an acquaintance and we might not know. also if minho was abused as opposed to being in an accident, he’d be forced back into his normal life sooner. he’d maybe even want that in order to get out of his house or as another way of coping…
@LIKEBADREDR0SES
STOPP no cus minsung has literally talked abt that before like abt how they wouldn’t let them do stuff that might tan them like BITCH LET THEM GO OUTSIDE
@sxoleco
OOOH it could be that since they’re positions changed, like now that yongbok has the bruises and represents minhos old self, yongbok can’t see his future. like he doesn’t know yet that he’ll be okay like minho is now okay DOES THAT MAKE SENSE 😭
