@miklos_akos
It *was* unlimited, then they changed it to 5TB/user. They took like 2 yrs to roll this out, then gave me a few months to "free up down to my limit or have my account switch to read only" and now that that deadline is over now they're saying that they'll nuke my data in a month.
@novelezra
I interpreted it as a place to stash stuff for a few years before they kicked me out- which is how it went. I'm okay with the deal I got. Don't think there's any faults here.
@TayIorRobinson
you mean these?
yeah, but they said it'd go read only, not that after the 2 month deadline they'd start a 1 month deadline to delete my data
(i don't mind this outcome too much)
@miklos_akos
Somewhere in the contract I agreed that the offerings may change, and they did in the end. I got an insane amount of storage for like 10eur/mo for years. It is what it is. Can't really be too annoyed at them for this one.
@TheHackersNews
This does not affect you if:
- Your users are not allowed to sudo
- Your users are allowed to sudo to root
- Your users are only allowed to sudo as non-root to non-potentially-damaging software (say "id" instead of something like "rm" or "bash")
(1/?)
@TheHackersNews
So it only affects you if:
You have a sudoers entry for a user or a group, for an executable that is potentially harmful ("rm", "bash", even "vi" as it can be used to run cmds), and the users are limited to running it as a user that is not root (or as !root).
Somewhat edge case.
@Q_Review
they're good videos tho, I think the comparison of "reviews are longer than source material" only serves as a fun fact and not as a criticism
@AwfulReddit
Oh god.
I checked their post history.
This isn't their first time doing this, also not to the only coworker, they also ejaculated in some coworkers' shoes before.

considering how our government loves coal and hates palestine, I don't get how they're surprised to see that someone has the opposite position to both.
@0x_shaq
I unironically had this moment, I updated my arch systems after not doing so for like a month, only for the xz thing to come out a day later.

I am giving back to my community due to Covid-19!
All ICMP Type 128 packets sent to the address below will be sent back!

cell broadcasts can't detect device language, so not surprised about that.
as for multi language, germany sends two notifications in english and german, which I prefer tbh.

Yes, but very, very slightly. And if you're going to make holes under the ground to transport people, there's much better things to put there, like subways.
@Foone
So, Foone, you'll be very amused to know that Turkish IDs can have an 8051 in them.
Specifically, there's 3 chips they can contain, and one of them is an inhouse one called UKTÜM, which is 8051 based.

It's a software that was turned into raw images. The commands on the tweet, when used with the images, allows you to recover that.
Software in question is youtube-dl, which was taken down yesterday by RIAA. It allowed downloading files easily from hundreds of sites incl youtube.
