men’s mental health is real..instead of saying “he’ll get over it” or “he’s too soft”, ask “is there anything you need to get off your chest?” or “how are you feeling?”
it’s funny when you’re a naturally quiet person cause nobody ever knows what you’re thinking and they start projecting onto you by assuming you don’t like them based off of some insecurity that they have when really i’m in deep thought about where my social security card is 😂
everyone’s goal isn’t to be married, everyone’s goal isn’t to have kids in their twenties, everyone’s goal isn’t to own property by 25..just because someone’s not living your definition of a “perfect life” doesn’t make it a societal issue..nor does it mean they’re “slacking”.
You’re not supposed to feel okay during the healing process. You’re supposed to feel uncomfortable. You’re gonna be sad. Freeing your mind means letting go of all of those emotions to make room for happiness. Pain is temporary.
y’all make some money and forget about your core values..it’s best to remain the same whether you have 50 to your name or 50,000 to your name..stay humble 🥴
my biggest pet peeve is when someone says they’re gonna do something for me but then when I ask if they still are, they act like i’m a burden.. if you’re gonna volunteer to do something for me, stick to your word. if not, don’t make offers. simple!!
truth be told , no matter how I dress ima still get the same attention..we should worry more about the lack of self control and not how people decide to dress 😂
Depression in black men is often overlooked. Apparently they can’t suffer from mental issues. Just because they’re expected to show no emotion doesn’t mean that the emotions aren’t there. Let them know that it’s okay to confide in us because suffering in silence is never okay.
I love that I have a well-rounded friend to talk to about finances, goals, aspirations, etc & still laugh/cry about all the other stuff at the end of the day 😂
