Congratulations to the remarkable Young Officers on your Passing Out Parade.
Your dedication, discipline and hard work have brought you to this significant milestone as you embark on this incredible journey of duty and service around the world ⚓️
Never thought I'd have the opportunity of working with
@ArmyAirCorps
@BritishArmy
in the way I currently do as an Engineer whilst in dark blue. Supporting these machines is awesome and I'm getting to meet some great people!
I met an Admiral in my last job who told me all about how his current job was the best job he'd done so far...and then continued to reminisce about every job being the best job...just for different reasons.
Yep, my 4th 'best' job in a row is a good one 🙌
Very excited to be out with 845 NAS for this special deployment - even better as Detachment AEO.
So proud of all our Engineers, Chefs, Survival Equipment Technicians, Aircrew and Logisticians who have got us away safely!

Farewell from me
#FlagsOut
🇬🇧✌️
The biggest privilege I have had in my life so far is to be part of
#Team2SL
- an absolute honour to serve a fantastic leader & the wider Royal Navy 🙌
Swapped helicopters for hounds and posh houses and it's been blinking awesome ✌️
A different kind of door 🚪
I'd be super keen to know if anyone is interested in knowing more about what life is like on an aircraft carrier and what life is *actually* like in the

Well last night was probably my favourite mess dinner ever - so many new faces!
This little club is a pretty fun one - I'd recommend applying to join...!

When all the boys said they wanted

@BudgySmuggler
.... it turns out they do bikinis !!
I think this photo summarises the love I have for my job and how I've finally realised the importance of finding the balance! Special thanks to
@mel_haslam23
for all your help!
7 weeks after a short trip to surgery, I'm back with the passion and positivity I haven't had in about 2 years. I've found that underlying pain can completely change your life & physical recovery is largely a mental battle! Listen to your body always!

If this is how my Hangar Queens felt on 845 no wonder they preferred it inside 😅
6 years to the day that I passed out of
@DartmouthBRNC
& looking forward to the next Chapter 🙌
Next week I join a new job in an Engineering team (albeit quite small) where 50% of the Engineers are female. It only sounds exciting now I've said it out loud. 3 times.
First time not in a gender minority in my time in

This is cool ✌
When I was 12 I visited London for the first time as a Christmas gift. I said to my Mum I will work here one day.
Thanks
@RoyalNavy
for keeping the dream sheet alive with this morning's commute 😊.
One of my friends is going to be deployed over Christmas now so tonight some of our friends hosted an early Christmas and it was wonderful.
I'm sure so many military families will do the same over the coming months. It is thankfully a rare but special moment. 🥰
T minus 3 weeks until

Will miss
@WO1DavidSmith
a lot - this man does incredible stuff every day for people across the RN & RM that often goes unnoticed - thank you 🙏
Today was a lovely day - very very grateful to be presented my certificate for qualifying as an AEO by
@CdreGriff
&
@MrFleggy
next to some of my fellow colleagues &
@UoSEngineering
alumni.
No. 2 of 3 of my
@DartmouthBRNC
cabin mates serving in a beautiful Carrier 🥰.
Great to catch up but also an opportunity to learn from her Logistics SME!!

A little picture from behind the scenes this evening..😊
What you can't see is the incredible detail that
@RoyalNavy
Chefs have put in to creating another dessert inside the 'Peach' on this plate. Awesome .. the team wow me every single day!

Spending my days embarked with

again is a blessing.
Reason 1001 why you should be an Air Engineer in

Awesome to visit
@HMSDefender
with
@WO1DavidSmith
today , seeing old friends and meeting new ones! Another Type 45 ticked off the visit list, a shame I'll never likely get to work in one... Something about a branch and picking..
7 years post Admiralty Interview Board and my Certificate of Competence is done. Feel like I've finally earnt these little gems. Excited to see what happens next 😊
#CHF
@RoyalNavy
I can both worry & impress myself with the same actions these days..
If your first meeting tomorrow doesn't have your rank slide in icing on a biscuit, refuse to accept those standards.
Throwback to when I found out that Perrier wasn't limited to Champagne 🥲
Excuse the incorrect braiding however looking forward to spending more time in this rig in 2025...👀
.....when they join, but they do before they pass out of training.
Poor title for a story that is all about how our Seniors are improving recruitment and the RN is taking good people and turning them into better sailors 🙌⚓️
Happy 3rd Navy Birthday to me!
Doing what we do best at CHF and getting out the door and into the thick of it 😍 both these photos summarise my love for this aircraft and the people who make it work the way it does when we need it to.
Wonderful to meet fellow RN/Mil tweeter
@JeffersWO1
today ! It was so inspiring to hear about all of your amazing contributions to the Submarine Service,
@RoyalNavy
&
@DefenceHQ
🤩
A while back I was fortunate enough to fly in the incredible aircraft I get to work with. It's a real treat to experience first hand the results of the hard work of the people you work with day in/out. Engineering is definitely the one for me 🔧💻✌

Proud to be part of team VL - Taranto Night dinner to remember those FAA who have gone before us was a wonderful event.
People.
Become a military officer.
Become a receptionist.
Do hard maths
Do easy maths.
Do whatever you want .... so long as it's not finding yourself trolling people on social media.
It's a very inefficient use of your time.
Customise your overalls people ... 😂 Going into a school this morning to speak to some younger girls and boys about Engineering in
@RoyalNavy
. I have a suit underneath this - but turns out heels and overalls aren't the worst combination (just not very practical)..!
My thoughts on the 5 reasons I'd recommend doing an Outer Office role even just for a bit (irrespective if you are working in the public or private sector...!

My last outing in this incredible job 🥹
My biggest take away - the only things you regret are the things you don't do so never take anything for granted.
Time goes way too quickly!
Great talk from
@DrChrisParry
this evening at
@FleetAirArmMus
under Concorde but next door to thr Wessex that he flew in 40 years ago - Humphrey! Biggest take away for me .. It's all in the preparation. Mix that with opportunity and things can really happen.
#FalklandsWar
Fav rig with some of my fav people around a few tables last night.
Always great to see people leave the service surrounded by so many brilliant people with so many awesome stories 😊
Today one of our team was selected for promotion to LH and her exact words were : I am just glad I could be a Mum (her husband was on a long deployment) and be promoted.
I almost cried - Well done J 🥹
After a quick thought from a friend I made unit Standing Orders gender neutral. If you ever find yourself with 30 minutes free, it'll be very satisfying I promise!
My biggest take away from last year to next:
Often protecting those under you means disappointing those above you. This way however, you will also never disappoint yourself.
N.B: under the right leadership, there is no requirement for the above &
#theteamworks

In My Opinion
Oh I love it when this little reminder pops up..
