30th of May,
I talk about
@akashnet_
from time to time. It is an amazing project - I know that first hand because
@redhat
attempted "open compute marketplace" a few times while I was there - and I was close to those projects.
But it never really took off - Akash solved it and it WORKS!
The proposal to launch the first full-day Akash event has officially passed.
Akash Accelerate will bring the entire ecosystem together for a full day of speakers, conversations, and much more in Austin, TX later this spring.
Check out the full proposal:
I am leaving
@RedHat
after 9.5 years. It's been and interesting and amazing journey! I am really thankful for all the friends I met and all the things I learnt.
I wouldn't be where I am without all the smart people in the company that I could learn from.
Thank you all!
Today I saw why I am bullish on
@routerprotocol
- I needed to get DAI from Polygon to Ethereum and swap to ETH.
All I had to do is go to
And select Polygon-DAI -> Ethereum-ETH, approve in the wallet and boom, it's done.
Very nice, fast, simple UX.
Listening to a (internal) forum with our CEO

Ok,
@radicle
is even further than I thought:D This is absolutely mindblowing to me
1. You run a local node which manages your local repos, publishes changes to seeds etc..
2. You run local HTTP API serve
3. You run the interface locally, authenticate by a running a command

Testing out Grok PRs on Awesome Akash using a cluster of eight NVIDIA H100s. Here are a few thoughts:

I keep saying I need to try

I released a new version of Grub-legacy when I started at Red Hat and it broke RHEV at a nuclear power plant...and blocked a coffee shop chain from booting 6000 servers..it was just a one liner in a shell script...who would have thought the line is there 3 times...
Status is an OG in the space. One thing I love about the company and projects is that they strive to do things right rather than quick - not everyone likes to do that and not everyone can afford it. But it is the way I prefer to do things.
Super excited about this:)
Seven days until we show the world what we’ve been working on! A new website. A new brand. A new look for everything we've been creating.
A new era for Status!

Privacy is normal.
Railgun uses the privacy pools protocol ( ) which makes it much harder for bad actors to join the pool without compromising users' privacy.
This video is great:) Thank you

Akash makes it pretty easy to get things running once you crack the patterns:) I also love that deployments from Awesome Akash immediately show up in the console!
Really cool:)
I got a message in 2022 right before Xmass that my employer will not pay me for Nov/Dec.
I did not panic (too much), but decided to build something of my own in 2023.
That did not work out mainly because I just kept following random rabbit holes and learning new stuff.
I've been evaluating a great offer - good money, interesting project, remote work with occasional travel, nice and skilled people.. my only "why not" left was "I don't want to leave
@RedHat
". Guess I'll stick around then:)

The post is heavily skewed towards Solana. I'm obviously biased, but to me one of (maybe) sustainable DePIN projects is

1. It competes with huge centralized market (cloud), but stays close to web2 experience (Kubernetes)
2. Focuses on GPU supply
3. Knows it's audience

No one cares about

We need decentralized, privacy preserving and censorship resistant tech for the not-so-distant future, which means we need to build it now

Now the Senate has too—late on Friday, after the media had gone home.
