Thrilled to be on the call for a pair of @cubs games starting this weekend! So appreciative of @WatchMarquee and the @IowaCubs for the opportunity. Will wax poetically about it all later, but until then.. Thank you all and can't wait for Sunday in STL and Friday at Wrigley!
This weekend, our broadcaster, @VoiceofCohen2, will make his regular season MLB Broadcasting debut! He will be calling a pair of Chicago Cubs games. July 14th in Saint Louis against the Cardinals July 19th in Chicago against the Diamondbacks Tune in on @WatchMarquee

Shaw is just 23 and has only played one full season of professional baseball. Don't think we're there yet, guys.

Summing up my stance on Alex Bregman. 1. He's a really good player. 2. Cubs are favorite to win division with or without him. 3. Adding Bregman may impact, but won't interfere, with Matt Shaw's future. 4. Don't think signing Bregman necessarily = trade Nico + start Shaw at 2B.
What if Alex Bregman regresses? "He's essentially been no worse than a 4 WAR player since 2018. Even if he drops off, 3.5-3 [WAR] he's still a really valuable player." - @voiceofcohen2

Bregman's worst year of his career was in 2021, when he had a 2.1 WAR in 91 games played. That year, was out from June 16 to August 25 with a hamstring injury. In the three seasons since, he's played no fewer than 145 games in each season with a 4.0 WAR or higher each year.
